I have the foundry’s on my car currently. Wanted to go up an inch and stay the same width if possible as clearance with the 10” width looks tight. The GT350 wheels come in that size so I thought perhaps these would as well.

The 10" is perfect for the fronts. The rear can easily accomodate an 11".

I have the m600 in 10/11 and very happy with the fitment and how the car handles with good rubber in those sizes.

I just picked up my GT7's in 19x10 squared and I'm going to wrap them with Michelin PS4's in 285/35-19's. They look way better in person than they do in pics. I can't wait to get them mounted up on the Pony. I'll be painting my brembos red at the same time so I'll be getting a big boost in performance and looks.

I'll post pics in the next couple days once they're mounted up.

Anyone tried mounting a tire wider than a 305 on the 20x11's? I'm looking at possibly a 295/30 F and a 325/30 R. I looked at the tire manufacturers specs and they say they will fit, they are on the lower end of the scale for recommended rim width.

I wouldn't recommend going to bulgy on the tire/wheel relationship if you actually performance drive your vehicle. It will inhibit performance. I've done this and experienced this with an old set of wheels/tires.

https://motoiq.com/how-to-properly-select-and-size-tires-for-performance/

“For ideal handling: when sizing a tire for a given wheel, I usually target a tire’s TREAD width to be as wide as the WHEEL width, or 0.5” narrower than the wheel width.”

"From my personal experience working on and driving countless track days, time attacks, street cars and race cars, this typically optimizes the tire’s carcass for response and outright grip. It also gives the sidewall a very slight ‘stretch’ or preload, which will improve the tire’s response and break-away characteristics. OEM’s have to size tires to meet a ton of different targets like curb to wheel damage protection, cost, snow chain clearance (almost all cars have to take this into consideration) all which affects the decision on the size of the tire and is usually a compromise at the expense of peak performance.

If a tire is too narrow for a given wheel width, the sidewall becomes overly preloaded and the carcass can distort to have uneven pressure across the surface of the tire. The preloaded sidewall also has greatly reduced flex and compliance, which would improve initial response, but it would ride poorly, be less forgiving over bumps, and the break-away characteristics would likely not be as predictable.

On the other hand, if a tire is too wide for a given wheel width, the sidewall ‘bulges”. This usually results in sloppy handling characteristics, vague steering feel, excessive tread squirm, and the carcass of the tire can also distort and have uneven pressure across the surface of the tire." - BILLY JOHNSON

Good Luck in your decision and keep us posted.

I understand all that, and I don't track day the car, it's just a summer toy. I was just curious as to if they will fit the wheelwell in the back. Oh and in case it matters the car is at stock ride height and staying that way. I live in Ohio and we don't have the greatest roads around here. Also, the only reason I bought a PP car is for the big brakes and 3.73 gears, if I get on it, it's in a straight line.

There are recommended ranges for a reason. As long it you stay within that range I would not worry about it. Don't worry about the it's too bulgey, it's too stretchy crowd. They are mostly going for what they think is the best look.

For the right use with the right tire, a lot of people exceed those limits with no problems. For example, autocrossing a B Stock car with 275 tires on only a 8" wheel (the hot setup back in my GD chassis STI days).

If that's the case, go for it. Plenty of people have put 325's on these cars.

I will when I get the coin, there are one 2 tires made in a 325/30/20 and the cheaper one is a Michelin pilot sport cup 2 and they run about 400 a tire. The other is a dunlop and they are about 450.

The SC2's are magic but probably an overkill for your usage.

I would stick to the MP4S and you'll get much more mileage out of them. They come in multiple 325 width sizes in 19 and 20 diameters.

I just looked on their site and they say the only 325/30-20 they make is the sc2's. And I want to run a 295/30-20 in the front. I don't want to mix different tires F/R

the SC2's and the dunlop sport maxx GT's are the only 2 tires I found that come in both those sizes.

You can get a 325/25 for the rear. the extra width will give you a decent sidewall. You'll also save a lot of money and get a lot more life over the SC2's but then again, it's your money.

I did a little more digging and found a set I'm interested in, they have a 285/30-20 with a 26.77 overall diameter and recommended width is right at 10" for the front and the rear comes in a 315/30-20, 27.48" and rim specs are right at 11" for the rear. they are Nitto NT555 G2's and discount tire has them for 246 each front and 278 each rear. Are the 555 g2's a good tire or should I keep digging?
