I like to disassemble things.
Sorry for the poor typing pissed while writing.
I've never tried to pee while writing. Props for pulling it off.

The downward bent tie rod is baffling. Mo pictures!

yeah this is a weird one. I'd love to see more pics of the underside... and definitely that tie rod from other angles. And some of the wheel and tire from outside and inside.
the second pic is the right side and you can see how the rod is scratched in the exact same spot as the left. I think the bushing failed which caused the wheel problem in the first place.

Those scratches in the paint are normal. I had those on mine also. That's from the factory. Why do you have clipped on wheel weights? Mine are stick on.

I can see in that pic that your inner tie rod is bent in as if it hit something head on or the wheel took a side hit or the wheel struck a curb or object.

There is a lot more scratching on the bent one than the straight one. The marks on both are from the factory alignment I am guessing. The other ones could be from hitting something? Are there any other marks on anything underneath the car? It would be very weird for that rod to just bend for no reason... even a failed bushing would not do that in my opinion.

Very weird one if you are 100% certain beyond the shadow of a doubt that you didn't hit anything.

I am still very puzzled how the bushing cap Could have shared off. It sits pretty far inside the wheel. To bend the rod I would have no doubt that I would've felt it. Not one mark on the wheel or the tire. I guess it could be possible that after the pushing failed and driving it for about a mile and a half with the wheel turn sideways that it could've been the rod but that doesn't make sense to me. I will see what Ford says after they see the pictures. Pretty sure I'm going to get screwed on this one :frusty:

One last question. This is how my car was parked before I got back in and everything went to hell. Is there anyway A car could've hit the left front tire in this position without doing any damage to the car or pushing the car onto the curb ?

Yep. Maybe I missed it but where were you parked? Any cameras around?

Me either. If there was a damaged part, then the remaining or connecting parts could have bent due to being towed, but that's not the tow guys fault. I would have insisted on a flat bed truck if the car had suspension issues, not duct taping it to a short bed lift. I guess at that point the tow driver may be at fault - he shouldn't have towed the car that way if there was a suspension complaint. But... they aren't going to be paying a dime, I assure you.

Weird, but that definitely looks like a hard impact to the wheel directly.

The first truck they sent out was a flatbed Driver said he couldn't get my car on it it was too low. He called for the second truck with rollers. This is all through Ford's roadside assistance .

I was parked in a very nice residential neighborhood. Slight hill that's why the wheels were curbed. I doubt that there were any cameras that would show it . This is going to be the great mystery of 2017 .

Trump knows who did it, and he'll tell you sometime next week. :D

In all seriousness, good luck with the repairs.

I went back to where my car failed and found this in the street. Looks to me like the seal failed on the ball joint. Can anybody tell me shouldn't the seal be smooth. You can see grooves in the seal. Where the seal is broken is where one of the grooves is. The seal is pretty rusted for 1900 miles in a warm climate area. opinions Please.
