Anyone have any input here? Are people running the stock clutch and not having issues?

I haven't had any issues with my stock clutch yet. It all depends on your driving habits. I have seen people with stock 2015 mustangs already needing to change out their clutch.

I've been running mine for about 5000 miles. Note I don't drag race it as its my daily driver. Has been holding up fine so far and I beat on it everyday.

Depends on your power output and driving habits. I didn't want to risk it.

depends on how you drive, I have a lot of customers that have been on stock clutch for years on the 11-14's and some that tear them up in a month

all how you drive

I drove my 11 for 3 years on 585 whp roush and stock clutch. I didn't abuse it though.

I have replaced my clutch.

I can say my 13 clutch with similar power never went bad. I think the 15 is not as robust at holding power.

I'm just trying to strengthen things, that's why I changed. Granted, the stocker only had a thousand miles on it but it looked new when it came out. You also need to look at power levels, some of these guys are headed north of 800rwhp or are already there. If you're going to drag race often or really jack up the power levels it would seem to be a no brainer.

Iā€™m doing 613 rwhp in my 21 on Mustang Dyno after ESS install and bolt ons. No issues but Iā€™ve only driven 1000 miles. But I already ordered a McLeod.

Stock clutch with a roush phase 2, car has 33k, supercharger went on at 24k, Iā€™ve had on the strip once since the supercharger and was launching at 4700rpm on hot 555r2ā€™s at 20psi and it felt fine. There has been 2-3 times though where I was shifting quickly 3rd-4th, think I got back on the throttle before clutch was fully engaged and it over powered the clutch and revved. That was on me though.

I was north of 750whp and my stock clutch had about 40K miles on it before I put on the Whipple. It held pretty good except one time it flared really hard going from 4th to 5th, "racing" a C5 on the Baltimore beltway. I say "racing" because he didn't really have anything for me. :giggle:

Mine did well for about a year at a little over 750whp until we did 5 or 6 dyno pulls in 5th gear.. not back to back... 5th gear is 1:1 and the stock clutch does not like it LOL. Clutch is still going and have been for months of daily driving. I have a Mantic to swap in soon.

I got about 1500-2000 miles on my stock clutch with my ESS setup, it didn't explode or necessarily require a swap out, but the feeling of the pedal had started feeling off and it was definitely unhappy. It wasn't raced or abused (No donuts, launches, or hard driving) but did have a dyno run and some rolling pulls. After swapping it out, the car seems much happier and I also changed out the lines for the Steeda unit while I was in there. It was worth the money and effort for me to do this and I'm glad I did.

27k on the car/stock clutch. Been procharged at 7psi (4.75 pulley pump 9) for a couple years, and 10k miles or so, then went to a fuel system and e85 and down to a 4.25 then a 3.75 then a 3.25 griptech now seeing 16psi and been running that the last few thousand miles with no complaints from the clutch yet, however I don't launch the car and I haven't been to the track. Installed an rpg stg 2 built engine a few months ago when the stock block didn't like 16psi on e85.

The car hooks decent on the street with 345 555r2s on full time, been though 2 sets of Nitto 555r2s and a set of Toyo 325 r88r and nto5r and still doing fine. I play with my car every weekend and I don't just cruise it, but I never clutch kick it or dump the clutch ( dont need to) and it pulls like a mofo right now. I need to dyno it but I would say it's easily 800+rwhp right now.

Not really sure what clutch to buy when it's time, was thinking centerforce because the mantic I attempted to run was garbage and couldn't get the car to downshift. Still have the clutch sitting on my shelf with no miles.
