The point is... why would Ford put a gauge with boost on a vehicle when they all ready have a gauge for a NA vehicle (vacuum only). Answer?
Not exactly sure what you're asking here. That's literally a vacuum gauge. It can be used to read the vacuum level to diagnose leaks, compression issues, idle issues, etc. It can also be used to read boost, but there are uses for it in a N/A application. All I see is an oil pressure gauge and a vacuum gauge... It's not like they have two vacuum gauges there

edit: I'm an idiot, saw the actual boost gauge later in the pictures. Honestly it's probably for testing a new SE or it's a ford racing replacement if you decide to go
aftermarket boost

edit 2: that redline looks low for a 5.0. could it actually be a 2.3 with a boost gauge? That redline looks like it starts at 6500rpm instead of the normal 6800

I think you are corn fused. Why would you measure boost on a NA engine only capable of producing vacuum? The photos shown illustrate one gauge with both vacuum and boost while another only measures vacuum. We have a conflict here... a GT vehicle which is assumed to be a NA engine with a gauge that measures VAC and boost. There is something going on here. Either the GT is actually equipped with an ecoboost engine or we are looking at a 5.0 with some kind of performance enhancement such as a supercharger or turbo. There is no need to put a VAC/Pressure gauge on a vehicle that is lacking a turbo or supercharger.

sharing parts? needed something to fill the gauge cluster? a VAC/pressure gauge is a good thing if you want to mod your car because you can check a ton of diagnostics with it.

I think we might just be seeing gauges here that could be options on track package/performance packages. I do find it weird that the car in question had a 6500rpm redline, though. Are they possibly branding the 2.3 as an option on the GT somewhat similar to how you could get a GT Turbo in the early 80s or how you could get a V8 with either the LX package or GT package? I don't know.

At most we're seeing a Ford Racing package that consists of a supercharger and comes with a boost gauge to replace another gauge. I don't see Ford offering a factory supercharger option.

Okay, let me simplify this...

Why would Ford use this⬆in a non supercharged/turbo vehicle when they can use this⬇?

Boost gauge and only 6500 redline I'd guess possible car with Trinity motor in it. Probably just a test mule and something for all of us to talk about.

I don't see your point. There are uses for a VAC gauge on N/A cars. The redline on the car we saw with the boost/VAC gauge was @ 6500. I think that these could be a ford racing option or a different motor entirely (or possibly just a 2.3?). There's no way Ford is going to have a factory supercharger option when there isn't even a special edition out yet. A supercharger option from the factory would put the 5.0 well over 550hp. If the N/A voodoo/modified coyote comes out I don't see it making over 550hp. Ford would just cannabilize their special edition sales by offering a supercharger on the 5.0. That's what I think at the most we're seeing a Ford Racing aftermarket offering.

Or maybe Ford just likes watching us squirm...

It wouldn't be the first time they put something out just to see if anyone noticed. They like to keep the buzz up. Trust me they are watching this forum I'm sure.

All the GTs I've seen pictures of so far seem to have the 6500 redline

Pretty sure someone at Ford said that the 5.0 would keep it's current redline, so that's strange. Either you can only get an ecoboost in GT trim, or like I've assumed already, they're just throwing together parts they already have mocked up. Everything is probably handbuilt at this point, I don't think they have any prototypes out.

Either way, it's one of those reasons. It's not going to be a supercharger option for the 5.0 - unless it's an aftermarket Ford Racing kit which we've had for years

Look closer, it is slightly different than the EB4, you can tell it's a 7k redline.
