Hi all

After a great exhibition round in Buttonwillow on 12-6

I'm proud to announce the

SUPER GT CUP 2021 season

Super GT Cup is a dedicated american cars time trials series.

Mainly mustang camaro corvette Viper with the pleasure of great other cars like Ford GT.

4 classes

Street

Mod

Supermod

Race



The rules and the Class Calculator where tested in exhibition round. I'm happy to say it worked pretty well in all classes. Especially street and Mod where the top 3 were within 1.5sec.



On top of the "racing" activities,

We want to create a strong united community where the development of the single drivers is one of the priority together of course with safety.

Pregridding correctly allow to follow a slighter faster driver.

Also driving always with the same people creates a safer environment.



Round 1 is at willow springs ,Jan 17.

If you want to learn from fast drivers, have fun and spend not a tons of money (150$ including trasponder!) please consider to join us.

Please remember time trials are still based on 15-20 min session (hpde style) .so even if you won't winning ,you will still have tons of time on track!

Looks like a lot of fun. CA is too far from KC to partake, but with a new track opening at Lake of the Ozarks, hopefully we'll have more events in the middle of the country.

The Exhibition event was lots of fun. I plan on running at least the first one in January, and hopefully a few more.

Edit: Just registered for Jan 17th at Big Willow. Street class.

10days from rd1. Willow springs.
The pressure is increasing. We slighlty change the calculator about 25 days ago adapting and making it even better.
Unfortunately for me
The calvulator is not allowing me to use 3R if i want to stay in Mod. So just got Yokos
I really hope they will work well.
Yearly compression test came back strong at 245psi all around (like last year)
Monday
Changing calipers,putting new brake fluid. New pads (dct70), new hubs with longer studs to accomodate 28mm spacers.(vs 25mm. more for NASA events where i run A7 and they rub the subframe. )
Flushing diff fluid with OEM one+motorkote
Also installed the metal Trans pan

Last I'm really tryimg to communicate with PBD to work on tuning the shifting for my 10speed.

Those calipers look so nice!

Unfortunately the calculator change would put me in mod also because of the OEM front lip on the 15-17, so I'll have to run the 285 tires instead of the 305's I just bought to stay in street class. (no way I'm trying to compete with Ale in mod class!!).

And I'm also Doing the DTC70 front pads with new rotors and longer studs hopefully next week.

Although I broke my thumb yesterday, so not even sure if I'm going at all to the first event.

New 305 supercar 3 that will probably go up for sale soon :(

what a great day.
Probably one of my best day at the track ever.
And I had the privilege and the honor to have Billy Johnson driving my car.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME EVER I LET SOMEONE in the driver seat. Thank you so much Billy for all your feedback and advice.

At WILLOW SPRINGS.
This year competition got to the next level.
For the first time my APEX PRO was off by 8 tents. (He gave me 1:26.2)

1.27.003 is my official time with 200tw tires ( yoko A052)
NOTE. 3R Are faster than YOKOs.
But Yokos are ready in half lap with 40f out. 3R take 2-3 laps. Yokos gained 16 psi (27-43psi) so they warm up faster so plan cold psi accordingly.
Definetely a low 26 possible. Why?

This was achieved in session 1 of the day.that was my 5th session overall at WSIR After 2 years without going. (Thanks Assetto corsa!)Sess 2 everyone went 1sec slower and I did the exact same time. I flat out on turn 8!All this showed me i can go faster.And
BILLY JOHNSON showed me i can brake harder

What a day. Turn 8 flat out at 135mph. And straight at 145. I love Willow springs

That's _a lot_ of pressure gain for a tire running anything close to normal temps. I wouldn't expect more than 9-10 psi total, even if tire surface temps were quite high. Starting from 40* will be part of it, but you might have something else going on. Are you using air or nitrogen? If nitrogen, are you purging or just one fill? You might have had some water (vapor) in the tires or something which contributed to the 16 psi gain.
