My idea for a 30-second spot:

Setting: clear skies, arid desert with a canyon-like landscape and an open red dirt plain, mid-day

Characters: a white 1965 Mustang GT fastback, a silver CGI P-51 Mustang with the "50 YEARS" logo on its tail, a Race Red 2015 Mustang GT with the Performance Pack and optional 19" gloss black wheels

Music: [ame]

It starts off with rolling footage of the right rear 3/4 of the 1965 Mustang GT moving at about 50mph. After 2 seconds the music is cued and the camera vehicle, while keeping the 1965 centered in the shot, starts to slowly pass the 1965 and then slows to the same speed as the 1965 when it reaches its right front 3/4. Then about 2 seconds later, a shadow mysteriously covers the 1965 and the camera reacts upward to reveal a shiny (CGI) P-51 Mustang alone in the sky about 30 yards above the 1965. Its bomb doors casually open and a lightning strike (CGI of course) strikes downward from the open bomb doors to where it looks like the P-51 just lightning-struck the 1965. The camera reacts by moving the camera downward to reveal the 2015 Mustang GT casually moving at the same speed as if nothing had even happened. Then the 2015 speeds up while the camera keeps it centered, and when it reaches the right rear 3/4 of the 2015 it keeps still and the Mustang simply moves out of the picture. The music is then stopped and all that's seen is the barren landscape and the dirt cloud that the 2015 ruffled up. With that background the "50 YEARS" logo in black is cued, filling up most of the screen. Then about two seconds later, the Ford Blue Oval animation is cued with a voice-over of a guy saying, "The unexpected," taken from a classic Mustang commercial. The end.

Classic Mustang commercial as described above: [ame]

No doubt they could find someone with a real P-51 for that idea! No bomb bay doors but maybe it can shoot with it's six .50 cal machine guns.

I think if Ford does a Super Bowl commercial they will do an ad for the F-150 showcasing the toughness of aluminum or something about being in the Baja 1000. Thats their money maker. Thats what I would do an ad on.

True, and the weight reduction is very impressive. If Ford is doing a commercial for the superbowl my money's on that.

I always record the SB, so I can replay it for missed plays & the Commercial's.

I get distracted, because of the Party I throw every year. I have to make sure everything is operating correctly for my guest's to enjoy (Drinks & Food), when the commercial's are airing, the BS elevates about what is happening in the game + mad dashes to the head, & I miss alot of the Commercial's...Our Wife's have a separate party at a different location, SO, I get to wear the apron!!

Hate to say it, but Chrysler has had the best auto commercial's the last few years, The ' So God Made A Farmer' (Paul Harvey) was one of my all time favorite's...

The too cars look pretty close, the Mustang has 2 doors and the Fusion has four, otherwise they look pretty much the same. LOL

Wow what a bummer. Ford Fusion. I love the Fusion but man I though they'd do the Mustang or at least F150...I guess it is too early for the Mustang, don't want to peak interest now and then have it die down by summer.

Also, they still want to sell 2014s.
