I'm so sorry to see this. I hate to bring anything nice around kids, I'll never have any.
Never have kids? :p:p

(Personally, I am thrilled with my decision to not have any :D)

The difficult thing about children is that it takes a village to raise them. People seem to forget that. I hear a lot of shaming of parents nowadays because of their kids' behavior. I would say that kids are a reflection of their parents, but I'd also say they are a reflection of our society. And now more than ever, we need those village members to lend a hand. We have more single parents than ever, and we have more lower income families than we've had in ages, forcing people to work longer hours/additional jobs to stay afloat. Indeed, we still need parents to be parents and the majority of the parenting responsibility falls on them. But my advice is to lend a hand. When you see a kid behaving poorly, step in, otherwise you are condoning the behavior.

With how fucking PC this country is becoming, you'd be treated like a leper if you were trying to show someone else's child what is right and wrong.

My neighborhood kids treat my car as a goal post for their soccer games. There are two grass fields within 100 feet of where I park my car, but apparently playing in the street and damaging other people's property is the fun thing to do. I've verbally reprimanded them once(politely), I'm afraid to think of what I would do if they seriously damaged my car.

That's an assumption that's true if you interact with the child and/or family inappropriately.
