Top of my list so far is mmr or livernois. Is there another block I should be considering? Pricing strongest I can get for about 5k.

Thank you

After talking with Livernois, that is who I would go with. Very good customer service and answered all of my questions. Plus, their block at $5499 includes a few things that MMR's doesn't. After you add the MMR options to make it equal, the price is similar.

I highly recommend you do a lot of research within the Mustang community before giving a company your money. While Hennessy is being talked about on this forum, one of the companies you listed has a reputation elsewhere. The Mod Motor Mustangs FB group has some eye opening information you might like to see.

Save some coin, go with MPR, MPS and dont look back. Livernois does have some quality setups as well for the money.

Firstly, thank you for the consideration! Here is what makes Livernois different from the competition, and why do we feel so strongly about our products. Simply put, we pride ourselves on putting in the extra time to engineer and design packages and products that will do more than just meet the requirements; we want to exceed those requirements in every possible way.

At Livernois Motorsports we take great pride in the fact that we offer something engineered and designed to be the best for a given application. Unlike our competition we don’t use off the shelf parts for engine builds. In most cases we have our own parts that are engineered and designed to go above and beyond what other companies offer with off the shelf parts. A great engine is designed with each and every part built to work in conjunction with the other components. Just selecting a piston off the shelf and sticking it with a rod and piston doesn’t cut it.

Most of our competitors use off the shelf parts, which isn’t a knock on the components, they’re usually adequate for most applications. At Livernois Motorsports though, good enough or adequate isn’t acceptable. We take our decades worth of engine building, racing, design and engineering experience, and we leverage that knowledge, experience and expertise to design and build engines that go far above and beyond just being adequate.

Every aspect of our engines and their components are carefully thought out and designed to work as a package. We develop our own piston, rod, crankshaft, fasteners, and much more, right in house. We sometimes we work with leading manufacturers in the racing industry to have these designs developed into finished components. This means when you buy a Livernois engine, you’re not buying a bunch of off the shelf parts that have just been “assembled”, you’re buying a meticulously crafted precision engine with custom designed components built from decades of racing and engineering knowledge.

Seeing the luck I am having with my current engine, I don't see why the Livernois $4500 Street Series Shortblock wouldn't meet most peoples needs with a PD Supercharger.

Odds are, most people with the TVS or Whipple will never see more than 1000rwhp.

I chose a local builder for my current engine build, which I consider to be a budget set-up. For the new engine, I chose Livernois confidently.

Good luck!

These ratings Livernois mentions; are they are the motor or wheels? I see this motor I'm VERY interested in (1000hp rating) but I don't know if that is at the motor or wheels:

I think there is a good amount of conservatism in those ratings. ;)

I installed a 750hp rated Livernois engine in a 2003 Cobra 7 years ago, and the past 7 years it has been making 890rwhp, made hundreds of track passes and has collected 25K miles. ;)

I am looking at 2 potential projects I wonder if you could help with(Livernois)

1.I have an opportunity to buy a GT 350 complete long block /engine but would like the internals swapped before I install in my car which has a TT.

2.I also have a short block out of another car I would like to sleeve to 5.2 using the same bore Pistons as the build above would require .
That block is close to you in Michigan .Not sure yet if block/crank is reusable .
If not I may consider just buying a new 5.2 block and reassembling withheld the 3.7 bore Pistons/rotating assembly sold by MMR.

Do you also sell/make Pistons in that bore size in house .
Feel free to PM me if needed .
