Over the last 6 year after removing countless plenum covers on the Coyote engine in our Australian Fords , we have noticed oil build up in the manifold and plenum areas.</SPAN>
This oil contaminates the incoming air bringing oil into the combustion chamber.
The results of this are oil usage and contaminated air/fuel mixtures.

If Supercharged and intercooled this oil builds up around the heat exchanger fins and tanks causing less cooling efficiency for the incoming air. On a supercharged engine this is especially important.

This need led Streetfighter to engineer and manufacture oil and air separators.
The separators are easily fitted in line with the engine breathing system.

The oil is caught in the separator filters rather than contaminating the intake and air fuel mixture with unwanted oil.
When the engine is not running the oil caught in the filters drains back down into the sump rather than the manifold.
This keeps the intake system and intercooler clean by stopping the unwanted by-pass oil burning through the engine.
Less oil usage and the intake and intercooler is always working at is best.

Not only do they serve a purpose but they enhance the look of your engine bay with a racey OEM style finish.

We have manufactured our Streetfighter breathers out of billet aluminium and utilise high quality washable filters to ensure life time reliability. All Australian made.

The Streetfighter breathers are sold as a pair and will be ready for release next week.

Product looks good but suggest taking some feedback from the forum. All the products seem to be very expensive...

Unfortunately they dont look very nice.....out of place on a modern engine...they look like the oil filler on a windsor in a 60's mustang..

I think many of us would prefer a reservoir rather than a sponge. Maybe I am wrong but that seems to be how it works. The price the same?

The sponging is a dedicated oil separator UNI-Filter designed to separate oil and air.
The canister is designed to return the separated oil back to the engine therefore maintain a cleaner intake and manifold system..

I quite like the look of them....Bit exxy but it beats draining and cleaning out separate canisters its great idea having it simply run back to where it started :) ...

That's interesting. I thought the idea was to remove oil that's not supposed to be going in not clean the oil that is. You learn something new everyday.

The purpose of the oil separators is to reduce the oil that is transfered to the intake system and intake manifold by the engine PCV.

This oil contaminates the intake air and mixtures causing build up of carbon on intact tracts, throttle bodies, vales etc. It becomes especially important to reduce the oil breathing onto the intercooler fins if you have supercharged the engine.

The breathers simply catch this oil and return it back to the engine .
This reduces intact contamination and oil usage , keeping the intake clean.

Returning the oil back to the engine also saves on constantly draining/ servicing the separators as in a catch can scenario.
