Ford 2011-2017 Mustang 5.0L OEM Slave CylinderHi all. Got a 15 mustang gt that's making a strange sound at idle. Once the clutch is pressed in it stops but comes back when it is released. Any ideas?
Technically they're not the same thing, of course. But as far as I know in the Mustang they're integrated into one unit and can't be replaced independently of one another.Slave cylinder is definitely not the same thing as a throw out bearing.
Or we could call it a hydraulic throwout bearing. That’s why I related the two, since both are terms used often on here.Slave cylinder is definitely not the same thing as a throw out bearing. Check the throw out bearing, may want to replace the rest of the clutch while you are in there.
Don’t feel bad, my car is only at 39k.Ahhhh mann. It only has 55k miles. Clutch feels solid
Didn’t realize they were integrated together as one unit. How do you bleed that thing?Or we could call it a hydraulic throwout bearing. That’s why I related the two, since both are terms used often on here.
The original Ford part is “self bleeding” and as Vlad said requires some fancy footwork to eventually bleed the air from the line and build pressure.Didn’t realize they were integrated together as one unit. How do you bleed that thing?
Yeah, pretty standard. That’s how the T-45 looks in my old GT.Interesting. This is what I’m used to working on.
