Wow. What year is yours? Mine is a 19.

Now I need to find out why mine is different!

Mine is a 20. I don't know if it's year related or not, seems like a pretty basic function that all cars should have. Maybe there's some process to allow it? I don't remember doing anything special though, it was always there from day one when I picked it up.

Have seen a number of stories in the past 5 or 6 years in my town of cars being stolen from people's driveways because the cars were left unlocked with the keys in them.

Are there really people out there that dumb, never mind, I think we all know the answer to that, lol.

The 2018 Mustang GT has access to the Ford app.
Albeit, not sure of previous years.

I believe the timer is 20 minutes before it shuts off from inactivity.

No because a 17 doesnt have FordPass, I think it's only 19 and up?

Honestly I meant to test if the car will let you drive with no keyfob detected but apparently it does....

Remote start. My car is parked about 7 minutes walk from my actual office building. Before leaving the office building, I start it my car (Atlanta GA, it is HOT here!). There is a 15 minute engine running window.
By the time I get to the car, it is cool and ready to roll. Cannot remote start that far from the car, with the key fob.

Also, I was on the Ford site the other day, updating my profile details and setting up a service. It needed the mileage on my car. No need to walk to the car to get it, open the app ;)

For me I don’t see much use for the app.

Confused, is your car a Premium? I wonder if that is the difference...

Weird. Maybe it’s because I don’t have the A10? But not sure how that affects locking and unlocking.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and this is still my home

yessir it is.

I’m about ready to burn the app. It wouldn’t show my car info earlier. So I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app three times.

And while connected to USB the car won’t recognize the app. It’ll allow me to use the app in the Sync display but as soon as I unplug the phone and hit vehicle info it tells me I need to enable Ford Pass on Sync. Frustrating.

Long shot, but did you enable the app in the sync settings? If you follow the menu chain through the settings you can find what I'm talking about.

Flipping odd. An Android device? If so, the latest OS, or?

Yep all enabled. Last night it was showing the car info but it hadn’t updated since Saturday. When I plugged it in today it still didn’t update and that’s when I started fiddling with it.

not that I use that a lot but now I’m in the battle vs this thing and want to figure it out.

this weekend I’ll connect the car to my wifi and download any updates and then try again

I don’t use this app. Don’t see a need for it...
