I have a Raceseng shift knob that was leftover from my last S550 and decided to try it out on my Bullitt. On my 2017 GT the extra weight helped to smooth out the MT82’s notchy shifts.

I haven’t had any shifting difficulties with the stock knob. I mainly swapped it because I prefer machined finishes. I haven’t driven it yet but just moving the shifter around requires less effort than before.

It’s not that bad. Even in direct sunlight it doesn’t get scalding hot.

Disclaimer: I’ve worked on cars professionally for over 15 years and my hands/fingers have a high tolerance for heat.

Shifting is now almost effortless with the additional shift knob weight.

My aftermarket knob is 500 grams and I had to get used to how heavy-handed it feels. But I really like it now, just being able to flick the lever. It does take away some of the feedback however, so there's that. But having driven with lighter knobs for a while, I have a feel for what the trans wants to do anyway.

That's a heavy a$$ shift knob. Ha ha. But if you like it, that's all that matters. To me, a 1/2-lb one like the Bullitt knob is just about perfect:like:.

Mine is steel with a crinkled black finish and it is not nearly as hot as a bare stainless knob I have in another car. The bare metal does look good man.
