My upper 800 low 900 lasted one event. 18psi @ 8K bent 4 rods

Were you at all surprised? Or did you just send it knowing that you'll be replacing the engine shortly?

18psi is pushing it, so is 8000rpm. Put those two together and I'm surprised all it did was bend the connecting rods.

I’m willing to bet it bent them on the hit. 18psi at low rpm is hard on rods.

I knew it was an explosive combo. I did as the op and listened to everybody on the forum. "Ive been a 850 for a year and a half, 900 for 2k miles etc.." There wasn't really anybody publicly outing the failures and what power level.

For sure I didn't want to drop 10k on a motor but i'm a push things to the limit kinda guy. I found my limit rather quickly compared to everyone else.

Your PD blower doesn’t hit 18psi immediately? I assume it’s the whipple flight software to control boost?

Oh I know man lol, I hope Joe gets that fucker done this week I almost forgot what it looked like...I'm getting anxious and I'm not good at waiting at all lol, I'm actually surprised with myself. All it needs is the cold side finished welded and wire up the rest of the fuel system and the tuning

Wasn't that a 1/2 or mile event? I wouldn't wish that on any engine. That's along time WOT.

I beat on my F1a for a 1 1/2yrs. 850+ rwhp before I finally blew a gasket. Running 18-20# depending on pulley. I sold the blower. New owner has been running same combo 7-8mths. no issues. Been 9.20's But we drag race.

I have since moved on to Twins with sleeved block.
