I just put in a dry flow filter and like the results. My question are there any restriction in the stock air box or tube?

Most likely not a great deal, but for optimum. Would be to install an after market CAI. Even better include the soft tune for max efficency

I'm guessing you dropped in a K&N, that always gives more from the loud peddle .

enjoy

The stock airbox is engineered well, so there's little restriction to airflow. There's always room for improvement but most CAI's are a waste of $$$ unless you get one with a tune, and even then it's a marginal improvement.

Unless you have a spare $300+ for the Air Raid CAI the answer is ”not enough to worry about”.
Those are junk, worse than the stock box, at least it is sealed .

And absolutely qualifies as a wast of cash ,

Even then, op would have to be at WOT all the time to realize any gains. Those things are a waste of money IMHO for the average driver.
I think most people do CAI's for appearances as they do look much better than the stock boxes.

Yup ............... That's what they are. Noise makers and allow more garbage to be ingested.

I love the ignorance posted when facts get in the way of an argument, that is actually is suppose to be a discussion. Intended to educate, & inform.

As the naysayers begin to loose the high ground, cheap being the only weapon . Ultimately ends up being a pissing contest by fools.

Good luck with that, a strategy for a looser to failure.

Huh? It has been proven that the gains if any are minimal at best. They are more about wow factor at cars n coffee. Some such as the JLT require a tune. No thank you. Either go all in with a tune, headers, etc or, leave it alone. YMMV
