I am curious about the pipe size where it mates to the throttle body. Bizkets and Feedits seem to be much larger that the Ford 550 version. How will this matter with a 80mm throttle body? Will the Ford550 or stock tube be usable with an 80mm tb?
Considering the 80mm TB eats the 67mm TB the 4" tubing is probably the optimal option to keep everything nearly matched.

 Cool deal, that'll work. Just making sure there was not a huge vacuum leak there.

Yeah i saw it was connected to that same hose the brake booster was connected to and figured thats where the brake booster pulled its vacuum from.

Hi,
Sorry to ask but, if I was to go this route, can somebody compile a list of hardware needed to do this swap. What couplers, aluminum tube, breathers, fittings, and anything in between? I want to do this with the 80MM gt throttle body together. Sorry for all the trouble and thanks.

102mm 90degree intercooler pipe from amazon or ebay
2 4in couplers from amazon
Any 5/8 clamp on style breather filter
I added a k&n drop in filter to replace the stock airbox filter.
And any way you can think of to clamp/cap off the line you cut at the firewall.

Just got Fordguys550's pipe in today and man that thing is awesome! I have a GT throttle body coming and can't wait to see how these mods complement eachother!

I am looking forward to see how they mate also. I have an uninstalled ford550 pipe and have been following the tb thread as well. I am thinking that Fords pipe will be mismatched with the bigger tb. Hope not...

It will be mismatched. His pipes go from 4inches at the airbox to 3inches at the throttle body. You're going to wnd up losing the velocity that he created with the bigger opening throttle body. You do have to remember, you can actually hurt performance by adding something that isnt necessary. Your stock throttle body should be more than adequate for your NA application.

yeah, my intake pipe is meant for the stock tb, or the bbk 73mm. the 80 is huge, I don't think the silicone coupler I sent with the pipe will even fit over the 80mm

a buddy on mine has a 80mm on his...the TB is bigger than the opening in the upper intake by quite a bit, so it creates a step.

That is what I've been saying it's pointless to put an 80mm throttle body on a 73mm intake inlet. Same as a 90mm on a GT 83mm inlet.

3.5" coupler fits the 80mm throttle body 4" is too big. 4"x3.5" reduced needed.

Alright so I just compared my Gt tb with Fordguys550's pipe and it really isnt that big of a difference at all...it even fits the connector. Also, the inlet on the V6 upper intake manifold is much larger than the stock V6 throttle body so I do believe there is some performance to be gained especially when I get my 4.0 stroker kit put in.

Maybe if you port match it.
