Sticky Top

[2015 Convertible]

My Wife has a 2015 Ecoboost premium and the rag top has a sticky residue on the top that appears to be coming from underneath,
has anyone experienced a similar issue? We are in FL but car is garage kept nights and most weekends.

Someone suggested somewhere that this is the adhesive for the insulation on the inside of the top migrating out. I would be surprised though, and I have not experienced this on my car.

Haven't heard if this before. Is it all over or just in spots? My 18 doesn't have any issues like that. The only thing is after a brushed on fabric protector it has a slightly different feel than before. Not quite "tacky" but not as smooth before. I assume that it will return as the protector wears off.

update- she had the top replaced- seems like a chemical or something was splattered on it someplace when parked. The new ragtop looks great! Manufactured by GAHH - I highly recommend
