stereo wiring

I bought an amp and the EZ wiring kit. Just to get to the stereo wiring to hook up the amp, how much dp I need to take off just to get to the needed wiring?

What is the EZ wiring kit? Also, what type of stereo does your car have?

There are some good threads that talk about amp installations. It depends on the type of stereo. 6-speaker, 9-speaker, Shaker, Sync, etc.. There are wiring harnesses available to limit need to cut wiring. Also the type of stereo will determine the need to filter signal or use a DSP.

This is all from my research but an expert will know more.

Don't quote me on this but it's most likely installed right behind the radio. Youtube will be your friend here vs. typing it all out in a way that is understandable. There's no shortage of videos covering radio and trim panel removal.

By the video I have seen after taking the trim off some wire connections are seen. Is this far enough to hook up above EZ wire harness or does the head unit ar DVD have to come out?

It should be. The screen and CD player come out really easily. Just pay attention to how the wire bundles are routed.
