Hey All, thought would share with my stereo upgrade project I just completed. I started off with the 6 speaker base system with the Sync 3.4 head unit. Going into this project I basic wanted to accomplish 4 things. One, take the stereo up a few notches, nothing crazy, just more volume and more clarity. Two, add a subwoofer. Three, do some sound deadening, and four, keep as much trunk space as possible since this is my daily driver. For the speakers, I went with Focal ISU 165 for the tweeters and doors, Focal ICU 165 for the rear deck and Cerwin Vega VS12SH Spare Tire subwoofer. For the amps, Audio Control AMC 4.300 for the speakers and AMC 1.300 for the subwoofer. For sound deadening, I used Amazon Basics Car sound deadener and Siless Line 157. For installation, I installed the amps on a custom 3d printed amp board behind the passenger seats up-side down on the bulkhead. This keeps the amps out of the way and maximizes trunk space. I also printed up some covers for them and covered them with carpet to help everything blend in. For the sub, that went in the wheel well. I used some MDF and 3D printed parts to make a combination sub board and tool/fix-a-flat storage area. I evne went as far to carpet the wheel well. (I had a lot of etra carpet from a previous project.) Everything tucks in nicely to the wheel well with no trunk space lost. Overall, I am really pleased with how everything came together, especially since I have never done a full stereo upgrade like this before. The only thing I didn’t like was the sound deadening. I was really hoping it would help quiet some the road noise but it didn’t seem to make any real difference. And yes, I covered just about every square inch of the car, lol. For the cost, I came in just under $2k. Anyway, thanks for taking a lot!

Yes! Very happy with it! The Focal speakers have great clarity and adding a sub really just makes everything pop! I did you Forscan to change the head unit to preamp. That in itself made a big difference as well.
