So had my Base model GT for about a couple of weeks now and am noticing the display is doing weird things.
I listen to music on my USB thumb drive primarily. I usually turn the car off in the middle of one of my USB songs. All is good. Then when I start the car next time FM radio is coming out of the speakers, but the display shows the USB song still playing (almost as though it was playing behind the curtain). Hitting the media button fixes the situation and it begins playing the USB song.

Also had my display go blank once so far, but the sound was coming out just fine. Again hit the media button and it came back on.

Anyone else having issues like this. From what I gather this is all operated through Sync? Is this a squirly thing others are seeing? Hate the idea of taking it in already.

Thought if bump this. Kind of hoped (bad right) for a reply or two saying "yeah they are glitchy". Now wondering since it's not exactly easily repeatable that taking it to the dealer might be hit or miss. Wondering if they would do some sort of verify to make sure the software is the latest version. Car was built in. June or November, can't recall.

Well, yeah, it's glitchy. That's Sync. Sync did the same thing with me on Bluetooth for quite a while, then it quit doing that.

It still goes haywire and requires me to pull the battery cable every six weeks, but at least it starts on the right device!

Hi Bartly,

I recommend trying a master reset: http://owner.ford.com/sync-technology/perform-master-reset-sync

Hope this helps! Get back to me when you get a chance.

Thanks for the replies. I will definately try that reset. Do you think its worth it to see if I have the latest firmware?
