Anyone have issues having a custom stereo installed?

I plan to have a custom sound system put in my next Stang. Just wondering if there's anything to look out for.

If you replace the headunit do not let them use the Metra kit! Otherwise it should be a straight forward install!

If you get subs, remember to disconnect the microphone above the back seat and headliner. Or else it will be bass city everytime you hit the gas haha

Noise cancellation uses low frequencies to combat the ambient noise. the mics are tuned for the stock audio, the woofers are still fed the same signal if it is stock or aftermarket. The mic does not see aftermarket sub stages so when the ANC attempts to correct the ambient noise the aftermarket sub stage is way too hit.

I thought only the EB powered cars had the sound generator and mics in the headliner? Pretty sure this is the case as I do not have any fake engine noise coming through my speakers. I'm installing my subwoofer/amp this weekend, so I would like to know if I need to go digging for mics just to be sure!
