So this unit has popped up on amazon (through a third party seller) for $460.

Gives it slightly more credibility for actually existing.
Def makes me feel a little better. And killer video on capabilities of CE 6.0, after watching that video I think I might prefer a different layout than the Mytouch.

Update going off of Ebay's Est Delivery I will have it this week, I will say I highly doubt this.

After looking at this and pics you have posted of the base radio ,it looks like you will have to cut off the top of the circuit board so it will fit.
From what I see (and by no means can I confirm this as I do not have it in hand) They have placed the screen in front of the OEM circuit board. So basically the board will just fit right in and screw down overtop the lcd. See that box in the center of the LCD? That is where the OEM lcd cutout is on the circuit board and plastic cover. This should be a simple plug and play kit with no hard modifications.

This exactly what I think also is how it is going to fit. I can't get the seller to respond with information for me/us or I would post it. Hopefully by this time next week I will have it in hand and can tell everyone

Lets hope! This would be a great inexpensive solution for us base model owners if it turns out to be decent.

The hole you are looking at is for the cigarette lighter. The "push to start" button is the next row of button up and all the way to the left.

No it isn't it is on the correct side I think you are looking at the aux plug.

also

UPDATE: I am starting to think this is a scam I would advise no one else buy, I received a messaged that read

Dear friend,
So sorry to bother you,
We are sorry to tell you that the parcel we send to you has return by the post office due to the address problem . And it has returned to us now. So do you agree we refund or resend to you?
Waiting for your early reply
Have a nice day!
Best wishes.
The address used with PP and Ebay is 100% correct I am giving him to the end of today to address it than I will be asking for a refund and I might try a different user on ebay even tho I think they are all the same person.

Not looking good.... Usually that is their go to answer when they don't have a physical item to sell...

Please if you see one on there shipping from a different location let me know I will ask for a refund and re-order thru them. I feel you are 100% right with thinking this is an item they do not have in hand or this is plain and simple vaporware.
