How much space do we have behind our stock radio? I'm curious if i could buy the unit and maybe install a pioneer stereo.
Plus you have the OEM circuit board to deal with. That's why this is just a screen.

Well sent another message never thought of when I sent the first message. I hope this works with the factory steering wheel controls
Hey Iceman keep in mind that this is just a screen replacement. All it is doing is replacing the factory 4" screen and buttons with an 8" touch screen. The OEM headunit and sync are not effected. The touch screen acts as an interface for the OEM headunit. So steering wheel controls and sync should function as normal.

No. Behind the screen is tight. The main box is down behind where your cd slot is
Damn I was afraid of that :(

What's your guys opinion on maybe going with a soundmanca ipad insert having it molded into this new bezel and going with let say a digital processor to the an amp to the all speakers. I understand you might loose all controls of the steering wheel and back up camera unless there is an adapter to still use these items. I know it may be a little extreme but what options do we have if we want to install an aftermarket stereo? lol

Ahh I understand I guess in my head I wondered if there interface would have the options of these functions. I jumped into this kind of knee deep before understanding a huge amount about it. I have messed building stand alone harness and such and doing custom sound systems but never one that still used factory equipment so sorry for some ignorance here. I have been completing trading my car recently for a premium because of the screen and a few other things. But this and someone I knows toggles might make me wanna keep this car lol

I'm super excited about this. Maybe we can get a discount through a group buy. Hopefully it will not be long before it arrives to the member who is being the guinea pig

By your location listed, you are close to all of US. So anyone here that is within close driving distance of US with the tech savy, I'm sure would be glad to pop on by to help with the test fit and hook up. ;)
(sorry I could not help myself)

Is this the same thing as in the eBay listing? This very video was posted on page 8 of this thread months ago.
