Has anyone bought one from Carbontastic? I've seen them on Youtubers like Stradman, DDE, Royalty Exotics.
I bought mine from Carbontastic. It cost me a pretty penny, but at the end of the day, the extra couple of hundred dollars to go the extra mile was worth it.
They didn't just ship me something they had in stock; I got the trim pieces done as well.... we spoke back and forth a few times; asked for a color match for Need for Green, and they sent me some samples... eventually I settled on some Porsche green that was a damn good match.

Maybe I overpaid a little, but I don't regret it at all.

I’ve followed them on IG for years and always thought I’d use them someday. Thanks for the review.

I've been wanting the gt350r wheel but not sure how that alcantera suede holds up over time
I went with the whole GT350R interior and the alcantara is of the utmost quality. In my opinion, this is the most quality wheel you can get for an S550. You have to wash your hands frequently and keep them clean. Even having sweaty hands is bad for these wheels over time but if you can do that, then it will hold up fine. There is also maintenance you can do as well to keep the material nice. They're around $450-$500 but you get what you pay for. An OEM racing wheel from Ford.

I'll report back. Watching and re-watching the install videos. Also writing down a bunch of notes.
Did you ever get your steering wheel?

It is a nice looking wheel. Beith is expensive; It will depend on what you are looking for in a wheel.
What is there to look for in a steering wheel?

Available options...ie heated vs nonheated, carbon fiber, flat top, and flat bottom, and the list can go on and on.

Interesting, really had not noticed any real change from one to another. Carbon fiber, red band, squared, for me not a fit .

Thanks for saying

Been browsing for a new steering wheel for awhile now. A lot of them seemed a little overkill or unnecessary for daily driving or were seemingly too expensive for what I wanted. Found this company out of the Bay Area called handkraftd motorsports under the name partszinga off eBay. Having read a bunch of eBay success stories I figured I’d give this wheel a shot. Almost half the price of the cjpony parts leather wheel and looks like it’s almost the same wheel. I ordered the wheel and received it within 3 days packaged super well and honestly am really impressed. Leather feels nice all the thumb grooves and everything feels great. Looks great. All the trim seated really well and feels like a really solid wheel. Slightly large diameter than stock and thicker over the whole thing. Just wanted to come and share my experience. Admittedly I’m not sure if they are the same company but I bought from partszinga and all the info for product was handkraftd. Def a solid choice for a budget wheel.

so i spoke with the guys on ebay and they just informed me they are not the same company as the guys that actually make the wheel and the company (handkraftd) that makes the wheel is a supplier of the ebay partszinga. regardless its the same wheel heavily discounted.
Where did you get the carbon fiber bezels for the steering wheel controls? The satin chrome ones have got to go!

Very nice. Congrats. Personally, not a big fan of the alcantara in my gt350. Has held up well using the sonax but would of preferred a simple leather wrapped wheel.

The stock 15-17 wheels leave so much to be desired. My 2003 Cobra had a nicer leather trimmed wheel. I went ahead and did the GT350R wheel which is definitely top quality. The leather stitching also matches my California Special Red Stitching pretty nicely. I bought the Sonax cleaner but havent needed to use it at all yet. Then again car is only a sunny day or race day car.

Alcantara is best cleaned with a damp microfibre.
I don’t know the sonax stuff, but to be safe I clean gently with microfibre and water and it seems to keep looking new.
I will go look up the sonax and see what it’s about.

Sonax is excellent. I use it on my GT/CS seats and door panels. Just follow the directions.
