Hi everyone, I'm just at a loss. I've gone back twice to get these front ones looked at all the specs as far as torque is correct and the Steeda minimal drop springs on my 17Gt clunks bad. The mechanic has done many on these cars and he has never seen anything like this. Poor guy pulled them off several times we even swapped back to stock and then put on sportlines he had laying around in hes shop and they had zero clunk or rattles. As soon as we out the steeda's back in the clunk would come back. I've also had a 15Gt with eibachs and a 19Gt with SR lowering springs never an issue. Does anyone have experience with steeda minimal springs and did you get any clunking? makes no sense to me at all how it was clunking when the stock ones didnt and the sportlines didnt and I've never had an issue in the past on my other stangs.

The clunking noise can originate from various sources, making it challenging to diagnose without having the vehicle in our possession. However, I've informed our lead technician about the issue, and they will collaborate with you to identify the underlying problem.

coil bind or the diameter is wrong
if its any consolation I yanked my steeda springs and went to a different brand because of clunking
What springs did you end up going with? for me It almost sounds like its coming from the top of the coil. We took that thing off several times checked every bolt checked every torque spec. We went to stock springs it went away, he told me he has a set if sportlines he is willing to put on to rule out he's install and that its not him and it went away. We put the steeda's back on and it came back. I 'd gone back to him twice and thought for sure its gotta be him but I was wrong. He did everything right and proved to me after going back to stock and sportlines it wasn't him. He primarily works on mustangs and has done this countless times and he was sure it was the springs and ended up being right. I only went with steeda's due to there reputation. I spent twice the amount trying to figure it out. I've never had this happen to me and I've been modding cars putting lowering springs on since the 90's. Never expected it at all.

TJ gonna have to send these springs back to you guys heard nothing from you guys either here or when i emailed you. Car is sitting at the shop and its a daily driver for the wife. I just ordered other springs. I've spent too much time on these and money installing and pulling them off and reinstalling.

I had the same experience but with the rear springs. Take a look at the springs (while on car) and see if you see any “witness” marks (scratches) where they could possibly be hitting in between coils. If you see scratches call Steeda and ask for some of the rubber “stickers”/isolators that go between the springs.
I did everything you could think of for two months and could never figure it out until someone TJ referred asked me to check and sure enough they was it. 10 minutes of work and perfectly quiet now.

It's the brand. Get a quality spring on there and all your issues will go away.
Personally, I think the Steeda are great quality. Sure I had 1 issue out of all the Mustangs I have lowered using the Steeda springs, but it was a 5-10 minute fix. I have yet to drive another lowered Mustang that rides as well as one dropped on Steeda springs. I think their parts in general are superior to most.

I had issues with my SVE Lowering Springs, could not to get the front end clunking to stop, tried so hard, myself and even broke down and went to a shop.. would not stop. I ended up going with Steeda stuff and installed them myself and have not had any noise from them... possibly a defective part?.. maybe. Hopefully they fix the situation if so.

Our team has asked the OP for some part numbers of the springs & is working through the concerns he has posted.

Hi TJ,

Springs on the car at the shop waiting for the other springs i ordered. When i get the other springs ill pop yours in that box and send it back. I dont have the original box the mechanic tossed it. Didnt think I would need it. Either way customer service from you guys us great and the rear brace bar i bought really helped out.
