I have a set of these springs sitting in a box in the garage and I'm not sure if I want to install them. I have been hearing a bunch of stories of issues with alignment specs, tires wearing unevenly or just really fast and so on.

Right now, my car rides perfectly and I don't seem to have any tire wear issues. For you folks that have installed the Steeda springs:
Did you have alignment issues?
Do you have tire wear issues?
Did you have to get camber bolts or CC plates to get alignment in spec.?
Do you regret putting your springs in?

I've seen pics of S550's with the springs and the stance looks great. I just don't want to screw up a perfectly good car for less tire to fender gap.

TIA for your assistance.

Wouldn't do camber bolts, get CC plates since you'll be taking the strut tower off anyway. Expensive but will enable you to align the front wheels, which is (I'm told) where the problem lies when it comes to alignment. Back wheels haven't heard of any issues going down the 1.2" or so that Steeda Progressives go down, but I'm not the most informed.

Honestly I feel like it's the people that slap on some springs and since the car tracks straight still they don't get an alignment and then 5K miles later their tires are poofed.

I don't know who's saying all that but they probably didn't install the springs correctly. Especially when you say they wear unevenly, that sounds like springs weren't seated correctly. Wearing too fast, sounds like they didn't have an alignment done.

I had mine installed by a very reputable shop that does 4-wheel alignments. He said there was no need for CC plates or bolt. I've put over 10k miles on mine since install and no issues at all.

I have no regrets at all. The ride quality is much better than stock. My wife was really hating that I was lowering the car because of ALL of the previous cars I've lowered and suffered in ride quality. She said this time the ride actually got better than stock. It's not perfect, the factory shocks/struts don't keep up with the springs, didn't with the stock springs either so it bounces a little. I'm looking forward to either Koni or Bilsteins.

guys I'm getting a clunking noise could it be that the strut is loose and not tight enough. also can I tighten it from the top without taking off the whole strut.

I have the Steeda linears and had them install the adjustable camber plates and align at the same time. Too soon to tell if they'll be any odd wear but haven't noticed anything yet.

You can but don't loosen the nut. Torque on these is rated with the spring compressed with a spring compressor, not under load with the weight of the car.

I have the progressive springs. Ride is just as smooth as factory to me. When i took it to the dealer i told them to see if it would align in stock form. He came back a wile later and said the right front was within spec and the left front was out. I handed him the bmr camber bolts and had them installed. About 1 hr later the tech came back and was amazed at how well they pulled the camber into spec. 1500 miles later car runs down the road perfect and no cupping or tire wear issues at all as of now..

I have the Steeda Progressive Sport springs and I didn't need any camber plates to get mine back to spec. I also have the Steeda sway bars and Stop the Hop kit and I am very happy with the ride quality. I'm planning on getting the Steeda shocks and struts because the factory dampers are a little too bouncy for my taste but others have done springs with factory shocks and struts with no complaints.

No uneven wear here, I have the progressives with no other mods. Rear camber is at -2.8 due to running 315s (and an idiot tech at Ford) but the toe is what scrubs your tread. Have had the springs on for about 9000 miles and so far so good.
