That is a great question - I am asking our internal tuning team what may have transpired.

Thank you,

Tim

@tj@steeda this is good information, but it would be even more helpful for Steeda to show some before mods and after mods 1/4 mile times and lap times in both the MT82-D4 and A10 platforms, as we all know Dyno’s vs real world testing does vary. We rarely see any of the performance parts manufacturers show what is and what can be possible from the very beginning. Most of the time it’s a heavily modded shop mule that we see after extensive mods have been made. It would benefit us enthusiasts more to see what a true baseline is and then progress into mods with actual runs at the two tracks to back up the claimed performance increases, so customers can make the proper mods and see gains, as their budget permits.

We have videos - articles - and testimonials - documenting the aforementioned. It's a significant investment to do these videos & to do them across our portfolio.

The forum is a great spot for most customers to get their feedback - which we try to provide based on the information we can provide.

Here is your baseline run to show the stock CAI vs. the aftermarket CAI:

Here is a dyno-tested comparison:

That’s a good start, but can we go deeper to cover both styles of driving such as what combination it takes to run 11’s and 10,s in the 1/4 (with videos) and/or what combination it may take to shave off a second or more on a road course for the average driver? I know you guys are running much quicker than that nowadays and get that you may not want to show the competition what your setup is, so that you guys can maintain an edge on the competition, but many of us will never be on that level and could use all the help that we can get to accomplish smaller goals.

TJ, I appreciate you trying to facilitate a connection with me and Scott there at Steeda several months ago, but I have to say, I didn’t feel like he was as helpful as he could have been, even though I provided a detailed description of my car, videos for him to see how it responded on launch and my ultimate goals with the car. You probably don’t know the outcome of our conversation, but here is some of that conversation that Scott and I had.

Me: Good morning Scott,

I recently spoke with TJ regarding the proper setup for my 2019 Bullitt Mustang which I intend to use as a street/strip car. TJ asked me to email you all of the modifications to the car, so that you could assist me in dialing the car in for the best possible 60’ times. My apologies up front for the lengthy email, but I want to give you all of the information needed to be able assist me in accomplishing my goal. Here is a list of the modifications (full list of mods provided) that I have done to the car thus far:

I am on the factory magneride springs all the way around, but running Shock Delete Engineering sensors out back with the KellTrac shocks, to keep the suspension fault warning from appearing on the dash and restricting speed to 80 MPH. I still have the factory magneride struts up front.

Those runs in the videos were on motor.

Ultimately, I am looking to cut a very nice 60’ (maybe in the 1.4 range) and run mid to low 11’s on motor and mid 10’s on nitrous.

Thanks,

Adrian

————————————————————————————————-——————

Scott: Good morning Adrian,

I didn’t see any springs listed. What springs are on your car? Also you state KellTracs in the rear, what about the front struts?

Are the passes below on motor or nitrous? What are your looking to accomplish ultimately?

Thanks for the info!

I think a set of our front drag springs would be helpful, plus disconnecting the front swaybar when you go to the track.

From a part standpoint you have everything to make your goals a possibility you just need a clean run it sounds.

Thanks,

Scott

Yes, I initially provided a very thorough description of my car and its mods. In turn, I did answer all of Scott’s questions. What you see in the above post are portions of our conversation. I just cut to the chase to shorten the post, otherwise it would have been as long as a CVS receipt, lol.

Love steeda, and love informative videos, but why in the world is this in the forced induction section? We visit this section with only 1 intention: discussing boost :)
