What spring rates would be recommended with the Steeda Coilovers for use with the drag springs and adjustable shocks? I see the drag rear springs are rated 800lbs with 1/2" drop. I'm looking for a 1" drop in front and was leaning toward 200lbs in the front. I'm not looking at a dedicated drag car though. I have a PP 17 manual trans with TVS that will be around 750hp, 600 tq and 3600 lbs just the car. I plan on addressing the entire suspension but want a middle of the road spring selection and alignment settings. I want a car that rides well and corners better than stock on the street with 19" wheels, yet when I want to drag race I swap to 17" bias plys and let it rip. I'm open to suggestions, thanks.

I think what you're going to need to improve cornering to any significant extent with those spring stiffnesses is firmer (and adjustable) sta-bars and a wheel/tire package for street driving that's closer to PP2 than PP1. You won't need the PP2's 180-treadwear PSC2 tires; PSS or PS4S in 285/xx on 10" wides (all around) should be enough.

Expect some difficulty finding a set of alignment specs that'll support both of your goals.

Thanks Norm! My street wheels are 19" TSW Bathurst w Michelin pilot super sports in factory pp sizes. Also have Eradispeed rotors. Combined lost 93lbs in street trim. Drag will be forgestar 18" front skinny and 17" in back with bias ply mickey.

The focus of me asking the questions is the BMR sp080 performance springs have rates of 170 front and 740 rear with 1.2 drop in front and .5 rear. My friend has these springs with no other suspension mods and the feel of the car is much improved. I won't be road coarsing the car but winding it through canyon roads and feeling stable would be nice. I have been having a hard time finding springs with the rates and drops I want so I wondered how a 200 front with 800 rear would do (a little stiffer than sp080) with slightly less front drop.

If I can knock off 1.5-1.6 60' at the drags, feel stable and ride nice on the street and still maintain a solid feel around corners on the street then I'd be really happy. Overall I'm not looking for or expecting peak performance in either direction, just overall well performing car. I'm just bench racing out loud and wondering if such setup would be what I'm thinking. Thanks!
