Apologies if this has already been covered (I tried searching), but can someone verify that I'm understanding the install of the Steeda camber plates correctly? At first I presumed that the top portion of the plates (the V-shaped bracket) goes on top of the chassis tower, but it looks like the instructions show everything except for the nuts & washers going underneath (see attached pic from Steeda's instructions).

Can anyone verify this? Just want to make sure I'm not about to make a stupid mistake before I pull my struts and springs out. I'm sure this is obvious, but the instructions seemed a bit vague ("Place the strut back in the chassis tower and tighten all three provided nylocks on the studs to secure it to the chassis"). Thanks.

There is no "bracket" that sits ON TOP OF the strut tower with Steeda plates. You have that part of the installation correct. The Steeda logo seen through the hole, certainly on my car anyway, faces toward the OUTSIDE of the car at an angle.

So assuming I'm seeing what you are showing us correctly (not much perspective), they look to be installed correctly. I was going to recommend larger diameter washers for the top mount bolts, but you already have them so you're good. That'll keep the socket from scratching the paint during installation/camber adjustments.

Just make sure, before attaching the sway bar and wheel and so forth, that you can articulate the strut back and forth smoothly (after loosening the tree top bolts some). These are actually pretty simple once you realize it.

Also make sure you use a BOX END HEX wrench or a quality crows foot that wraps around the whole hex on the part with that little green line marking, not a 12 point or something loose, because that is liable to strip. But that isn't part of the camber plates, that's part of your strut assembly (Steeda/Koni, other?).

Excellent, thank you very much.

Also, that picture isn't my car. It's actually from the Steeda instructions.
