Hey guys, I am almost done with the suspension. Going to take one strut apart tonight. I know I have to cut the bump stop but I have two questions

1- what is fac torque setting on top strut mount bolt?
2- steeda included a wide dia white plastic washer, does that go on top of bump stop?

Thanks!

Damn. The compressor tool I rented from autozone does not work with these springs. The bottom body of the strut is in the way of the threaded rod when compressing. What did you guys use to compress the spring? What style?

Good Morning guys. You think the bump stops were cut to short? Also, does the IRS have completely dropped or can it hang on the mounting bolts? I appreciate all your help, this is my first IRS

Those are the ones I am using and the roads hit the bottom flange of the strut. The part where the spring sits

Trust me it works, I don't know what else to tell you. I struggled with it initially before finally figuring it all out. I oriented it so the impact was used up at the top strut mount. You can spin that mount to get it basically out of the way. They won't be used at opposite sides of the spring either, there's no room for that. Depending on what springs you install, the installation goes much quicker and easier than removal.

When I did my rears I just loosened the bolts on one side at a time. I had to fight a little to get the springs out but it all went in ok. I did the BMR subframe brace after I did the springs, and at one point while fighting with a bolt I dropped the subframe down enough where my springs literally fell out. So if I were to do it again I wouldn't drop one side at a time. I'd put my jack in the middle and remove or loosen all subframe bolts, and make my life easier.
