As cheap as it is for a new pump and just replace it yourself, will fix it or eliminate from from possible causes. Sometimes taking your best guess is what your left with. Or, just live with it until it permately fails.

I’ll also add that when it fails, it will most likely occur all of a sudden and in the most inconvenient location. For me, the cost was a $200 tow truck bill, just to tow my car 14 miles.

Even with no code nor check engine light?
So finally I got a P144A code last week, still no check engine light... Till yesterday morning, the light came on and I have the P144A and P1450. I went to get another purge valve and replaced it. I was able to clear the P144A, but still have the P1450 permanent, but the check engine light is gone and I was able to start the car with one try after filled up.... Any idea what the P1450 does?

P1450 - POWERTRAIN CONTROL/EMISSIONS DIAGNOSIS (PC/ED)

P1450 - Unable To Bleed Up Fuel Tank Vacuum
Description:
This DTC sets when the evaporative emission (EVAP) running loss monitor detects excessive fuel tank vacuum with the engine running, but not at idle.
Possible Causes:
  • EVAP purge valve stuck open
  • Restrictions or kinks in the EVAP canister tube or EVAP canister purge outlet tube between the fuel tank, the EVAP purge valve and the EVAP canister
  • Fuel filler cap stuck closed, preventing vacuum relief (if equipped)
  • Capless fuel tank filler pipe damaged, preventing vacuum relief (if equipped)
  • Contaminated fuel vapor elbow on the EVAP canister
  • Restricted EVAP canister
  • EVAP canister vent valve stuck partially or fully closed
  • Restricted EVAP canister vent valve filter
  • VREF circuit open
  • Damaged FTP sensor
Diagnostic Aids:
Visually inspect the EVAP canister inlet port, EVAP canister vent valve filter, and EVAP canister vent hose assembly for contamination or debris.

Check EVAP purge valve for vacuum leak.
