So I finally received my set of SSR GTV02 wheels in 19x9.5 ET45 after about 8 weeks of waiting patiently. So I did what any of us would've done after waiting that long, and tried them on for size! I am glad to say that they clear the GT PP front brakes no problem, but I am concerned that I may not be able to run as much front tire as I originally was hoping to because of the strut clearance. I was planning to wrap them in 285/35s but now I am thinking I might be better off with a 275/35. I really want to run a "squared" setup so I can easily rotate tires, not to mention Dunlop offers the Direzza ZII Star Spec in a 275 but not the 285.

Is anyone out there running a 9.5 front wheel with a 45 offset? if so what size tires are you on?

Lots of folks are running 275/35 and 285/35 tires up front with zero clearance issues. I am not sure of their offset.

I know one guy has +20 with 275's and has rubbing issues. With a +45, I would think you are ok.

PS - wheels look great. Can't wait to see them mounted on Ingot Silver.

very nice. You could always space out the front just a tiny bit if you need some more strut clearance. Always better to be close on the inside, than it is to be close on the outside! Cant fix that with a spacer!

I think I am just going to go with the 275s for now so I can run the Direzzas. I loved them on my WRX and plan to do a few track days here and there. If I decide to go with a wider tire down the road I can just add a 5mm spacer. Thanks for the compliments guys. Time to order tires and TPMS sensors!

Wheels look great! SSR makes nice stuff- I have a set of the GT2s on my Cobra.
Definitely want to see them fully mounted on your car!

Have you already been tracking your car? Just looking at your rotors there is all

I have, good eye! The car did great for being on OE tires and brakes. The brakes were absolutely phenomenal... No fade what so ever! The tires were another story. While the grip was impressive, they really started to get greasy when pushed hard.

I went with the 275/35s just to be safe. Still waiting for my TPMS/valve stems to come in from Steeda to get everything mounted up. Evidently if you order the black ones they have to be sent out to be annodized, which I was told was a 15 day turnaround...

Definitely go 275 max with that offset. I think you will rub with 285's.

Yeah would need about a 3mm spacer to run 285s up front with 45 offset based of some rough estimates. Wheels were $365 a piece through a family member in the automotive industry.
