So I noticed the TSB only specifies 5.0 and 2.3...but we are getting brake squeal on our automatic v6. Low speed and very intermittent. Could happen twice in a row...may not happen all day. I wonder if the v6's will be included in a new TSB at some point down the road...

This is the first time I hear of a V6 with brake sequeal. Take it to the dealer. Hopefully it's something they can do to correct the problem. Is your squeal also very loud and embarrassing?

So Im starting to get the squeal constantly now but I painted my calipers. If i take it to the dealership will they deny the request?
Hey Youngmustang,

There's no harm in checking! Your dealer will be able to diagnose and verify as a warranty issue. Send over a PM with your VIN, mileage, name, phone number, and dealer info when you have a chance. I'll connect you with a customer service manager to further advise, and assist in the repair process. :)

Today was my day to get the TSB repair. It went very smoothly. Got my first service done at the same time.

Squeal seems to be gone, at least so far. My first impression is the brake pedal is a little softer than it was, and these pads don't have quite the "bite" the factory pads had. But this is preliminary, driving down a city street fairly gently. I need to go out and bed the pads and then see what I think. I'll be interested to see how the brake dust is. The factory pads were really very good (as opposed to the dusty messes that are the Brembo pads, from what I hear).

The dealership here in Nampa, ID is freaking awesome. I have never seen anything like it. I'm used to little, dingy offices and greasy outdoor service bays in the Central California dealerships I have used for 25 years. This one is a huge indoor service entry, complete with heated concrete floor and indoor, climate controlled bays. It looks to be just a few years old. And the waiting area! Oh, my goodness! A coffee bar, with a granite counter and padded stools complete with A/C power so I could plug in my laptop, and good wifi strong enough that I was able to connect back to my office with my VPN and work just like I was at my desk. They were all done in about three hours, and I didn't lose more than 10 minutes of work time.

My only complaint was when I got home and double-checked my oil level (not that I don't trust, but I verify.) I am TWO quarts low. Seems to me I remember the Coyote now takes 8 quarts of oil rather than 6? Somebody didn't tell the technician who changed the oil.

A shout out for Sam Luna at Corwin Ford, for taking care of me. And to Ford, for doing the right thing in getting these parts changed out. Finally!

Been waiting since mid March for a fix at 700 miles now I'm at 2500 hopefully they'll show up soon
My mileage was right at 9800 when they replaced my brakes today. It's been a long and noisy road!

I got some the first time last week turning into a parking spot. Not normal brake squeal for sure. Then again yesterday while turning sharp to the left. I got something similar today in the way in to work while just barely on the brake in traffic driving straight, but it was very brief and didn't return when I tried to replicate it.

I thought this wasn't an issue with the PP.

Seems like the TSB brakes are very quiet. I like that.

They seem to bite a little less, but they still stop about as well, just have to press on them. I think this is a better compromise than the original.

Question my brakes have started just recently at low speeds, has anyone brakes started back after the TSB? I do not want to waste my time if all they do is replace with the same parts?

Got the TSB done about 4000 miles ago and all is well. No brake squeal after TSB done.

Same here, especially when I steer hard to the left or right that high pitch noise was present. Went to the dealer earlier have it checked and they replaced front rotors and pads. happy with the result. As for the recall with underbody temperature, parts are on special order.

Has anyone got the non performance pack ecoboost brakes replaced under the TSB? They've been squealing on a cold start for about 7k miles. I brought it to the dealer once and they couldn't replicate it because it was warm.

Definitely embarrassing.

I would create a separate topic for that. Most people probably don't visit this thread anymore because there is a solution in the form of a TSB. Good luck.

Those are not the same brakes, and likely wouldn't fit under the TSB 15-0030 which replaces specific rotors and pads.

I know it's a pain to get the dealer to replicate. Took me five trips. But it's important to get it on record, and hopefully if there are enough of you there will be another TSB for the smaller brakes.

Good advice. This thread has been quieter (yuck, yuck) since the TSB parts became available and repairs started getting made.
