Still squealing here. I havent called my dealer yet though as i'm waiting for the mid-feb fix. Any recent word? :) Been following the thread from the beginning.
Still waiting til mid February to call the Service Manager at McCoy-Mills. He said when the fix is there they'll test it on a car and contact us whether it works or not.

To the guys experiencing this, I completely understand your frustration. If the information above is accurate, it seems like Ford is aware of an issue. Now that a Technical Service Bulletin has been issued and a fix is in the works for vehicles that have already been delivered to customers, what happens to vehicles that haven't been built yet?

When will these changes make their way to the assembly line? Will cars being built tomorrow morning still suffer from brake squeal and need this forthcoming repair? What about the cars built this summer? How's this all work? Thanks in advance for any and all input.

I don't know that a TSB has been issued. Google'd it and nothing came up. Regarding whether the issue has been corrected on newly built cars, I guess we'll know when you take delivery. ;-P

I too have the squealing when turning left but without applying brakes at low speed. I am sitting at the dealer right now. They are aware of this bulletin and again said same thing they hope to have a remedy mid feb.

I am here now because my e brake has some play in it when it's all the way down causing the brake light on the dash to come on to easy.

The squealing though however is super disappointing, but hey it's a new car and new things will happen and things will be discovered. Mine is the 2nd 2015 that has come in with the squealing though with no brakes applied and turning left under slow speed.

The dealer turned all my rotors yesterday and cleaned up the pads. I expect it will be back like so many others. Will have them replace the rotors when they come up with a fix. Started around 1800 miles, now have 3700. Annoying as hell.

Turning the rotors is unacceptable! Unnecessary wear should never be considered a solution. I don't give a shit if they only took off a nanometer! The fix is supposed to be new pads and rotors.

Brake squeal

I have read through a bunch of the posts and have gathered that there is a known problem when the brakes are cold making a very loud squeal, mine does this @ 1400 miles. My question is what is the best way to approach the dealer about this and what has been the best solution Ford has come up with thus far?

Or maybe when you take your car have the contact info for McCoy-Mills Ford so that they can contact them and get additional information. You're better off taking it in and getting FordService to give you a case number. By doing this, your dealer will get the replacement parts as soon as they are available.

When I went in my dealer said they were aware of the problem and they had to order new pads. The new pads came in this week and I'm going in tomorrow to get them replaced. Hope it fixes the issue. No idea though.

BUT I was told that the fix is new pads and rotors. And they're not the existing OEM ones. Either way, hope it works.

Got my pads replaced today and sad to say I can still produce the sound, but it is a lot quieter now.

Are these calipers designed with a traditional retainer for the pads to slide in? if so I would ask the dealer to trim them...we had a similar issue with accords and the retainers were too wide and would contact the rotors when the wheel was turned...just a shot in the dark. Or it could be glazed rotors and pads with high metal content pads. Or you could all just switch to hawk hps pads, I had them on my 350z, they stopped great! j/k!
