Hi there

Was at a car meet yesterday and I spotted a panel gap I have never seen before, so yes some might think I am splitting hairs but now I have spotted it all I keep going to look at is this sodding gap.

I have checked my previous images and do believe it has always being present, it is only noticable from certain angles, but now its annoying me.

Some older photos I zoomed in one which do show it is there, just not as noticable due to angle:

Passenger side is spot on, so I am assuming this can be tweaked? Am I right to think it is just door that needs tweaking or a combination of both fender and door? Even worse do I have a warped wing?

What do you guys reckon? Am gonna take a trip to local bodyshop, after recent experience with Ford I am not particular keen on re-visiting.

P.S. No marks on paint, no dents or dings visible so not a case of door catching, just looks like alignment issue.

two points.

1) yes it's fixable
2) When fixed you'll have misaligned rocker stripes... which will also annoy you.

I'd say it's the door, not the fender. Doors and rear bumper seem to be the main panel issues....

I'll check pictures of mine, drivers side looks fine, and flush, Passenger side looks a little up (we're talking minor milimeters) but, it's all good on my side.

Gonna pay a visit to my mates bodyshop later, see what he thinks, passenger side is spot on, so will see what he says.

Had my driver door done. They had to adjust the wing. Whilst better at the front it now sits proud at the rear of the door by a few mm. Decided against letting them have another go as I barely notice it.

The fact is you've only just noticed it now, i'd try not looking at it altho that's hard, don't go looking for any other faults you might be well pissed.

I know buddy, I can just be too much of a perfectionist at times, I will probably forget about it next week, lol.

Just visited friends bodyshop, he adjusted the top door hinge bolt, which has resolved the issue a little. He pointed out a bolt directly behind where wing is sticking out and said undo that, push on wing and re-tighten and it will resolve it. He could not do it there and then as wheel liner needs to come out.

Was gonna have a go myself, but I can see my getting mighty pissed and making it worse, so popped by Ford, they acknowledge the issue and said drop it of Thursday for 2hr and they will fix it. :)
