I can easily beat this addiction because after I bought the car I have no money :(
I think mine is the only mustang that is still stock :tsk:
Nope. Mines stock & will be for some time I reckon

Edit: forgot that I'm going to go see about tinting tomorrow; does that count as a mod? & hood struts. & oil separator. Apart from that, its stock

Not sure if it's an addiction or it's an obsession. Probably both.
Technically... pre-order it's an obsession, post-order an addiction, followed up with a compulsive disorder  !

Edit: Although that being said... the compulsive disorder seems to be kicking in for quite a few on here during the obsession stage .

So in your case you're probably more of a pathological stalker!

We all have the addiction.

There was nothing wrong with the standard car, yet ALL of us have started spending before it even turns up. How many of you have spent untold amounts of money on your other cars ?

I so know what your saying Steve, I have finally just fitted my DRL and side LED's and a fella from up the road walked past and said "are you changing more things on your new car?" to which I replied "yes and there's plenty more to do!" I've never spent so much on modding a new car and I think that's the beauty of the Mustangs, our friends across the pond have been doing it for 50+ years.

My names Rob and I'm an addict

Only stuff I've ever done on any previous cars has at most been lowering springs, aftermarket alloys and the usual lame dealer accessories (rubber mats, boot nets etc.) as there's bugger all you can do with them generally (unless you want to be classed as a 'ricer').

One of the best things about the Mustang is the ability to personalise it (tastefully) so it doesn't look like every other car, as BMW's, Audi's, VW's do.

Modding Anonymous?

Hi everyone, my names Steve, I bought my dream car, and then joined a forum... which lead to me turning my dream car into >THE< dream car... you lot fuel my addiction...Oops. Granted, it's all still cheaper than the wrap so far, so within budget :)!

On a more serious note - I was ill on Tuesday and Wednesday, I didn't get to drive the car, I got back in on Thursday and insta smile on my face once I heard the roar from the exhaust.

My girlfriend are parents family and friends think I'm mad when I tell them I've spent X on a car and will then spend my time changing it... Some people just don't get it - equally they see the finished product and agree it was worthwhile... Guess they just don't see the vision.

To be honest, it's not even an addiction to modding, I have to mod the second I get it, and I wont leave the car until it's done (Which left me out until 11pm in about 2c doing my door trim!). But it's an addiction to driving the car, to looking at it, and smiling like the child (You lot would say I am). I'll talk about it to anyone who's anyone. Anyone who says nice car sparks a 20 min chat of the car.

BUt, it's still more than that, it's the addiction to knowing I've achieved a dream, it's an addiction knowing that people respect the car and give it so much attention, it's an addiction to changing things to perfect my perfect vision of the car. It's an addiction to spend so much time learning about the car on forums.
Had I bought a used R8, GTr etc, would I be on forums? Probably not...
To be THE dream car you'd have to slip in a 5 litre V8!!

So I was at a social gathering and some people were looking at the car.

I was running through the mods I have made and someone said "So what you spent on her then" I looked at the ground and sai "Err about 5k" As I looked around to see if the Mrs was within ear shot.

Then someone said "Look those wheels"

I said "Yeh, sod to clean though, I am changing them next year for some 20" five spokes I am getting from the States"

Everyone looked at me like I had a problem.

I didnt mention the rear spoiler that I had put on that I am taking off for the one that is on its way from the States

Its making me feel much better talking iot through with you guys
