Good advice Snakebyte! I sealed both ends of my spoiler since the original factory holes were right there.I've been told that the Air Design is marketed under more than one name. I got mine off of eBay, prepainted and after 4 years, I'm still pleased with the product. The fit was good, however a downside was that I had to drill new holes in the decklid, and sheet-metal type screws with hex heads were used to secure the spoiler. But for the price, and knowing I never plan to change it, I'm quite okay with the installation. As a FYI...I recommend sealing around all mounting holes (unused OEM and Air Design mounting holes) to prevent unwanted water intrusion.
Air Design doesn’t use screws/bolts. It uses 3M tape and adhesive. Mine is currently being installed.I've been told that the Air Design is marketed under more than one name. I have the Air Design one going on my car. It just finished getting painted so it’ll be on early next week.Does anyone know of a small tasteful spoiler for the convertibles? Seems like all of the spoilers are made for the fastback. I don't want a Fast and Furious wing, just a small spoiler to finish the trunk. It looks lacking without it.
This is what I purchased back in 2020, and is the one I was told was actually Air Design. Mine has mounting screws, but a later poster stated Air Design uses only Tape. Personally, I feel better with having fasteners, but good 3M tape of the right amount, right thickness, and right P/N should be good as long as all mating surfaces are properly prepared.I've been told that the Air Design is marketed under more than one name. Looks nice a clean brother!!!I went with Air Design - a fairly subtle rear deck spoiler specifically for the convertible.

I had a roll of thick/fatter 3M so I added that to the thin 3M my spoiler came with…rock solid, no issues.Air Design doesn’t use screws/bolts. It uses 3M tape and adhesive. Mine is currently being installed.

How did you remove the OEM spoilerI have the Air Design one going on my car. It just finished getting painted so it’ll be on early next week.
I didn’t, my detailer is doing the install while he has the car in for paint correction and ceramic coating. How did you remove the OEM spoiler
