Today I installed some SlipLo scrape protectors on the under side of the splitter. I purchased these before Christmas, and had I installed them when I first got my car, I would not have damaged the splitter  I thought I would make a post, incase others had not heard of them.

They are well designed, and come with (10) 8" strips that are flexible, and allow you to shape them how you want them. They come with adhesive promoter, but no alcohol wipes.

With only 600 miles, there are too many scuffs for my liking.

After some figuring, this is where I thought that I would get the best protection, and still allow me to take the splitter and wicker bills off, if needed.

I must say they are beefy, and easy to install. Try as I might, they will not budge, so I expect the to stay put.

Once again, an EXCELLENT TIP!

Many thanks, Jaime and of course, I have a question.. :-)

From the angle of your photos, I can't really tell where you placed them and, how many did you use on the front?

I see they're quite proud of them as well and I'm gonna guess that you went with the "2 Kits" option.

I have pondered these. My only concern is that when you go in reverse these end up being a major snag point with the way they are cut. Looking forward to more updates

The first three underneath pictures are the before, and the next three are after the install. I made two passes from left to right at what is noticeably the "high" spot, and where the scuffs my splitter suffered began.

I used all 10 pieces. Some of them I cut to stop before a fastener.

I only used one kit

I think I know what your are thinking. I believe they will just slide over things in reverse in the same way as forward.

I'll keep you posted

OK, after watching both videos, I see what I was supposed to see, Jaime. <laughing at myself>

Unfortunately, they now only put eight in the box, not ten, so I'll go with the 2 kits. I'll use any extra for the "shooting position windows" I'm installing in a couple places in the house, they should handle the heat from the muzzle. <grin>

Thanks, dude.

Jmeo (El Bombero),

How is the SlipLo working out? Give us a review. I am hoping to install a Scrape Armor prototype soon, but if that fails to work out another option would be good.

Thanks!

It's working perfectly. This stuff is on there, ain't no way it will come off, and its super durable. I definitely recommend it.
