I have two different types of O2 simulators that I can install on the down pipe,I have the L-shaped 2x2 extension and also a straight 2 inch extension to try and cancel out the 2nd O2 sensor code, does it matter as to how far you pull the sensor away or will any of the two fittings be sufficient. Thanks for any info.

I've been using an L shaped one with the little extension for the past several months and it's worked great. No CELs yet.

Here's the one I have: http://www.ebay.com/itm/O2-oxygen-s...ash=item4174af4288:g:RwQAAMXQMmJROrN3&vxp=mtr
Are you both tune?

Car has a tune + tune I've discussed this with Adam and he prefers not to tune off check engine lights, and I agree with him,I was hoping my straight extension will work because it will allow me to wind it in without having to remove my downpipe again,I should have installed the the L shaped extension before I installed the downpipe,So I decided to buy a straight adapter and see if the cel will clear once I reset it.If not then the down pipe will have to come back off.Not sure what it could do to the tune if anything other then maybe make it run a touch rich.Sick of looking at the check engine light though.

You can only turn off the CEL via the tune that occurs when you remove the catalytic convertor. The system readiness is what would fail you at an inspection. In some areas that is not a concern, but in those areas with emissions checks, they check for readiness and without a simulator you would still fail. Some areas will still pass up to two failed emissions readiness test, others are more strict. The size of the orifice on the simulator will dictate how far out of the exhaust stream you will need to be. I think most L shaped sims seem to work, but it may require some tuning effort to get it right.

Use the L shaped piece. I have never got a CEL for my downpipe, been running for 5k miles.

I played around with those extensions on my import car (OBDII). The spark plug defouler had very limited success. I used a longer straight extension which eventually threw a code but it has never popped a light with an L shaped one. The shop I bought it from (which is a very reputable tuner) told me to orient the L part of the extension toward the front of the car. Been driving it for several years (offroad of course?) with no code and a gutted cat.

Ill try and slip the straight one on since it's so quick to do,If not then I will pull the down pipe and install the L shaped fitting.I should have installed it prior to installing the dp brain fart on my part.In Az our obd standards on their testing equipment is not as stringent or sensitive to the tools we used to use in NY State as long as the cel is off I don't believe there equipment cares as much as other states obd2 scan equipment.Tune+ will not tune off a cel, Adam advised against it and said that the o2 extension should be fine.
