Sorry I forgot to ask can I connect the remote out from the Audio Control lc2i to the remote in on the amp? Or do I have to wire the remote in from the amp to a remote turn on the rear speaker cluster of wires?

I have the 12 speaker shaker set up..........Where are all 12 speakers located? Call me crazy but I think the sound is pretty good for a factory setup.

Some of them are coax speakers so there arent 12 separate locations

Front:

Center Speaker (1): under the center of the dash
Tweeters (2): in the A-pillars (pretty obvious)
Mids (2): door panels
Lows (2): door panels

Rear:

Coax Speakers (2): rear shelf behind back seat, unless you have a convertible in which case I think they're on the side panels to either side of the back seat; since these are coaxial (2-way) speakers, Ford counts each of these speakers as two, which is fuzzy math IMO.

Subwoofer: in the enclosure in the side of the trunk

Your count adds up to 9 speakers as claimed.
The rear speakers are 1950's technology of whizzer cone woofers which are proven to distort.

The 12 speaker system puts better coax speakers in their place (a tweeter coaxially in front of the woofer) for 2 more speakers. The subwoofer then makes it a total of 12.

I have not seen the center speaker but it would not surprise me if it was another whizzer. Which it why it sounds whiz-poor.

First of all, I'm not defending Ford at all - I was just trying to answer the question of speaker locations. Secondly, I don't disagree with assessment of the coax speakers (in fact, I said as much in my comment). Thirdly, I don't know what you mean by your statement that "[my] count adds up to 9 speakers as claimed." Even counting the coax speakers as one that gives you 10 speakers, unless you're not counting the sub (and there's no reason why that wouldn't count as a speaker).

And yes, I don't doubt that the center speaker is craptacular. Chef actually replaced it with a Polk speaker. He said the system sounded better with no speaker and better still once he installed the Polk:

Well there is 300a and 400a with 9 speakers, and 301a 401a with 12 speakers. So it just depends on which system we are discussing. I think the only diff is 2way speakers in the rear plus the sub.

The center and rear speakers are bad enough to ruin the sound in the 9x system. They may as well be disconnected. And the 12x system was overpriced.

Yeah, I don't disagree with anything you're saying. I just don't understand why your initial comment was directed at me. I was simply answering the other fellow on the location of all the speakers in the 12-speaker setup. Nothing more.
