This appears to have been beaten to death, but I cant find any solid answers on what would be a solid speaker upgrade that wont end up having impedance issues or sub optimal gains. Has anyone put together a quick list of speakers that are preferred and/or what has worked for them? Should be made a sticky once they do. (i tried reading through the 35+ pages of the upgrades sticky, but couldn't piece together a set up that would be good without adding amps or rewiring things)

Lets star here and ill add as people give their input.(i realize these are an opinion, but would like to get some info together)

Hi,

I haven't actually done my speaker upgrade as yet, but I'm definitely going with these over the next month:

  • Focal 3-Way Flax Splits for the front stage
  • Focal 2-Way Flax Splits for the rear stage
  • Focal Bomba BP20 Active Subwoofer
  • Focal FPX 4.400 SQ (Class AB) 4-Channel Amp
  • Probably disconnect center dash speaker
Yep, I'm a BIG fan of the Focal range of speakers as I run those in my 911 and they sound amazing!

Should make a significant difference to the OEM setup.

I did the Chef_jpd low cost/minimal effort upgrade ™ which made for a nice improvement.

Awesome man! Let me know how it ends up sounding and Ill update this thread if it works well without adding amps or run into impedance issues
