My “new” 2029 Bullitt has 295/35 19 on the rears and 275/40 19 on the front. I have no spare, just the goop. My previous 2016 GT had the same size tires front and rear with a factory spare. The spare said “Front Only!” because the smaller spare would not match the other rear and apparently cause damage to the limited slip differential. If I get a spare to fit the Bullitt fronts which have the Brembo brake calipers and moved the front to the rear I would still have a mismatch. That is, a 295/35 19 across from a 275/40 19. How much of a problem would this be for the differential? Finding a spare for this has been difficult. I am about to go with the goop they provided, which in my experience with other cars usually doesn’t work. Thanks.

I've got their spare for my Boss 302, and it fits right and includes a spacer for use on the front. The kit includes a jack and wrench, which you'll need obviously. I also invested in a good portable compressor. It all adds up to peace of mind that Ford does not furnish.

My experiences go back into the 1970s and non-inflated fold up spares with single use air tanks. I think the thing to remember is low speed limited use. All of these "not real wheels" have been designed to just get you to a repair center for the main wheels or a safe spot to wait for a tow truck.

I have the Automotive Authority spare and had to use it two weekends ago. I got a big hole in the rear tire and no way to plug it up. I drive around with a small air compressor and plugs for quick fixes, but couldn't use it this time around. The car drove fine up to 80mph......I had to test it. Rear is 285/35/19.

Thanks for the responses. One more somewhat related question. I am considering jacking rails and notice on the photos that they sit adjacent to the pinch weld. Do the jacks that use the pinch weld, like the ones that come with spare kits, still fit next to a jacking rail?

not really, they can go in that area but they ll be overlapping onto the rails. I ve never tried to see how that would be. at home the floor jack goes over everything if you are in a weld area. I believe you could jack the regular jack somewhere in an emergency.

WRT the differential, the Torsen differential can accommodate up to 25% diameter difference across the rear axle, per the manufacturer.

I have the Automotive Authority spare in the well in the trunk. It's a bit snug, but does go in and will clear the larger brakes on the Bullitt and PP1.
