I have been looking to get a spare kit but my Mustang has 20-inch factory rims. Never sure which kit will work, any suggestions?

I apologize for hijacking
no problem, this kit should work for you too as the overall diameter on your 20 s should be the same. You probably have the Brembo brakes which this will fit over also..

Also sorry for hijacking but does anyone know if AA had a Black Friday/Christmas sale for their kit? I meant to check but it slipped my mind.

The Ford factory spare will work. I believe that there is a slight height difference between the 20” and the spare which is 18” but if you keep you speed down, be careful, and drive for only a short distance you will be fine.

If the car came with 20’s from the factory it does not have the 6 pot Brembo’s. Those only come with the PP which has 19” wheels. Unless you have a GT500!

good point. he has a gt. I guess they don t have brembos, you are correct. but this spare wheel will still work according to my research . I believe you sent me to this company(well you recommend this choice) which was a great point! Product is nice, fast shipping.

You are correct. The AA wheel will certainly work. But is does cost twice as much as the factory spare and if you do not have the Brembo's it may be a little extravagant. :)

@Bikeman315 correct, regular GT brakes no 6 pot Brembo's. Although I would like to upgrade to those in the near future!

Yeah, for some reason the overall diameter of the Mustang specific spare is way less than the standard, its like 25.9 inches or something instead of 27. I have an 2020 Explorer spare, same bolt pattern but the proper diameter. Only problem with it is that it won't clear the front brakes (even the standard GT brakes lol). The moral of this story is to just get the AA one, least liklihood of issues. But I got this cheap and hopefully won't have to use it.

I am assuming the stock spare will clear the Brembo's with a 25mm spacer?

The circumference of the barrel won't accomodate them unless you used a comical amount of spacers to where it was completely out of line with the caliper lol
