Picking up a California Special on Friday.

What are your thoughts on getting spare wheel and tire kit. Where best price to buy it. Is there a need for it.

I got it with the car, the ~200 option. I would say so!

Buying new car the car off the showroom. It was not an option on this car. Anywhere else to buy. Stock tires are 19 inches. Does the spare tire come that size or it doesn't matter.

I don't know if this will fit the CS with 19" wheels. It should because i had it with my PP EB which had 19" wheels. Traded that car for my GT which has 18" wheels. http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-ford/fr3z1k007c?search_str=FR3Z-1K007-C I think i paid $226 shipped. It's a great piece of mind considering the car came with no spare and a pump with slime kit.

Guess I'll use Ford Roadside if I ever have a blowout. $40k car w/o a spare and it's an option. SMH.

Hopefully your not in a bad neighborhood, out in the sticks with no cell service, side of the road on a busy/dangerous highway or sometimes waiting hours for Ford roadside/AAA to show up only to bring you to a Ford dealer (if not close to your house) to only have Ford tell you they have to order the tire because they don't have one in stock  . A spare with the ability to be back on the road in 10 mins or less is priceless.

You have a blow out all they can do is tow you.
Surely roadside service doesn't stock tires.
They can only put on what you have & if at night then really BAD luck!
