as the tittle reads but not really i recently decided to start modding my 2020 mustang gt originally i had just a muffler delete on the car stock resonator in place car sounded decent but i wanted a little more sound and power. forward to last week i decide to install a set of stainless power cat-less long tube headers, x-pipe, intake and tune. Car sounds phenomenal however, it is as to be expected obnoxious loud to the point where im hesitant to even cold start this car at home as to not be a dick to the neighbors which i get along with. furthermore the car sounds great at full throttle however on slow acceleration i think sounds like crap from 2500-3200ish rpm. so im thinking ill need to order some mufflers im looking at C&L axle backs which are linked below. i guess my question is to the exhaust gurus should i realistically expect these to quiet the car down significantly over my current set up as well as possibly fix the rasp i have between the above rpms at slow acceleration. keep in mind i know this car is going to stay loud given the catless longtubes. other than that im just waiting for lund to give me the ok on the datalog i sent them to really start enjoying this car.

I found retaining or installing a center resonator was massive in sound level impact. I run a Magnaflow resonator into borla s-type.

Also, you can tune to tame down the cold starts quite a bit.

Yeah that’s going to be corrected I’m just wondering if those I linked will even make the situation better they seem to be comparable to stocks volume wise just a different tone I just don’t wanna order them and end up with a louder exhaust if that makes any sense

You're going to want something that won't drone and cleans up the sound. Corsa Sport sounds great on long tubes as does Borla S type or AWE Touring. Should bring volume down and refine the sound alot.

You're also going to over pay on AM for most things and not get the level of customer service you may want. I would look into forum vendors like @beefcake etc.

I'd definitely go with either borla or corsa axle backs so you don't get any drone. Borla Touring will definitely quiet it down a lot and with no drone.

I have LTH headers with AWE touring catback. Excellent combination and no drone.

I have the C&L muffler delete and tried those same sport axle back you linked. They got rid of the rasp but only dropped noise levels maybe 25% but also added a drone. I went back to the mufler delete.

Aren't MBRP notorious for being the loudest??
Maybe I'm just young but even the mbrp race I have isn't crazy loud at all, street would definitely be quiet

No the streets are tamer but with long tubes you really want a more refined muffler solution. But then again sound is subjective.

My ford performance by borla sport with H pipe is almost toonloud/raspy for me. More so raspy, but i have a funny feeling after going supercharged I'm going to want a borla resonator from beefcake lol
