Gotta pay to play. If the shop has a very good reputation it might be worth it to just let them do it. but it never hurts to shop around. If you’re handy with tools. The supercharger install isn’t that difficult. Just time consuming. The OPG’s are a real pain in the but.

The installation prices for the SC and OPGs are about what Minneapolis shops charge so those numbers don't sound too out of line for a well established shop with a good rep. For what it is worth, when I was considering the Whipple kit, every installer I spoke with STRONGLY recommended the OPG/CS upgrade. One good shop in particular would not do a Whipple installation without them. Most also highly recommended a custom tune....which would have added even more to the cost.

Yeah fair enough. I’ll be installing the OPG down the line.

lol brutal - I ended up buying. I removed the OPG cost. Came to 15.7. I’ll install the OPG’s at a later time. Gotta wait 18 weeks for this bad boy.

Luckily the 18+ have a fluid filled harmonic balancer which helps quite a bit with vibrations so hope that adds some peace of mind until you do the opgs.

That's way too much to charge for the OPG gears. It isn't that hard at all and it takes just a few extra steps from the point of being torn down for the SC install. Wonder if that is the normal rate for the OPG gears, effectively double billing for some of the install procedure.
