I dont understand how this solid black wheel thing has become so popular. I think black wheels with a silver lip look good, but solid black dont like it. And that is what my 2021 came with as well. I dont like that you cant really make out the tire from the wheel. Yea up close they are ok but it just looks diry. Does anyone agree with me?

not, look at the front wheel, rear wheel is defined by the light. Front wheel shows what the OP is pointing out, lost in the darkness.

Looks like that car has leds in the wheel well. ROTF Look closely at the top of the tire, you can see the wheel well back side.

Now if he wanted to drive around with LEDs under the top lip of the fender well, it then is a maybe LMAO

@the OP
I agree ....... needs contrast, black makes things look smaller. Park a black & white car side by side. The white one will look larger.

I use black to hide things detailing the engine bay. Hiding the hideous mufflers, accenting the exhaust tips, looking from the rear of the car.

The problem with the PP wheels is that they are overly crowded and those wheels don’t fit every color. What i mean is the black color.

I felt the same way until I saw silver PP wheels. No offense to anyone with silver PP wheels, but the design "works" best black. I think there's way too many spokes and the black helps blend it all in.

I do hate how quick they get dirty and they look bad with a layer of brown brake dust.

Wheels to match the cars paint color will be the next big thing.
Black wheels are fine if clean

Yep that's what I tried to do without going custom powder coat:

I agree with the OP 100%. IMO black wheels became a thing when people started painting their base wheels in black to hide them. Then it became a “trend” and it’s everywhere. Ironically, my Bullitt has black wheels :crazy:
