I get what your saying I didn't buy for an investment but I also didn't buy it to be another run of the mill sporty car.
The only reason ford is running it another year is because they sat on their hands for the next zl1 killer.
The 350 will be a solid show car until you pass, I promise. If the car feels great to you still, keep it. I know cars kinds lose their luster after a bit, at least when we look at someone else driving the latest and greatest, but just like your KR you would miss the 350 if you sell.
Cars are always improving performance, but this 5.2 FPC days are numbered. 16,000 motors isn't 30,000 like the Hellcats so far. It's just enough to have a remarkable cult following for years to come. It wouldn't suprise me if they had strong gt350 clubs down the road.
Of course your gonna follow your heart with what you do and I'm guilty of wanting the latest and greatest but I can tell you the 350 isn't gonna leave my possession. It's a great car and I don't think there will be another like it.

Don't get me wrong, I love brute force acceleration and will take a hard look at the next FI FP car. It could very well leave the 350 in the dust, even on the track but I guarantee it won't feel as good to drive as this 350 does. Next drivers car will come in the s650. Probably won't come with a 529 HP NA car. Shaved weight TT6 ..haha... hold onto it...at least until then.

The GT350 is one of the greatest sports coupes made in the last 25 years. Sounds like you need to drive it more.

6,000~ a year, R included, its still a rare car. Doesnt Chevy make like 40,000+ Vettes a Year? Doesnt matter what awesome car comes out from Ford or any other manufacturer, nothing sounds like the Voodoo engine. Its sound and soul is universally praised. Good luck getting that kind of soul from a force induction car.
Yes, in 2016 Chevrolet made 40,689 Corvettes. That was up 19% from 2015.

I purchased the 350 based on exclusivity and a semi rare car. Since now they're making it through 18 here's my question, should I sell my 350 now and get a GT500 or Mach 1? I don't race the cars I like going to shows here and there, taking it out on weekends and just having a prized possession. I do love the sheer classic muscle car Sound and Power of a straight line car so now since it's really not that rare maybe a GT500 would suit my needs more. I know as soon as the GT500 or Mach 1 is released I'm going to want that but that's normal of probably all of us I'm just trying to soul search a little. I regret selling my 09 Vista GT500KR and don't want to regret this one.
Scotty, you and I have spoken before and I hope that you keep your GT350 and suggest that in the long run you will be very happy with your decision.

No disrespect to your previous 2009 GT500KR but when Ford came out with the Limited Edition GT500 in 2007 they built almost 11,000 cars for that MY and almost 50,000 over the next 8 MY's so certainly not rare cars by any means.

I previously had 3 GT500's and once the NA Boss cars came out and a couple years later the NA GT350's came out it did not take long for me to get rid of the GT500's and move over to the Boss and GT350 cars based on a much more satisfying driving experience.

Just speak with any of the true enthusiasts within Ford and their driver instructors who know both cars well and they will tell you exactly the same as I am.

Who knows how many years Ford will make the new GT500 and how many each year but based on past history the production numbers for the GT500 suggest a lot of these GT500's on the street in future years unlike your GT350.

Personally I would take your GT350 over a 2008 or 2009 GT500KR or new GT500 (and don't care how fast it will be) all day long and suggest that you made a good decision.

Let me know when you want to sell your base GT350. I wanted one with your color and stripe combination (coolers be darned) :)

OP, maybe you bought the GT350 for the wrong reasons.

I brought my new '17 GT350 into the office today. I took delivery last night and it has a whopping 16 miles on it. I've had a steady line of people asking around who's GT350 it is. I just got done showing it to a group of guys (we are an automotive company) but one of the guys said "I don't get jealous, ever! But I'm jealous!" People just love the car, and it's just cool to hear that. I wish everyone could afford to get their dream car and while the GT350 is not my dream car, it is a car I wanted from the first time I saw it.

And Lightning Blue is amazing, that's my shameless plug of my 17. haha!

I went on car gurus yesterday, and there are still dealers with allotments trying to sell 2017 cars. Not everyone is willing to pay for a gt 350 plus admin knowing the next gt 500 and mach1 is coming out soon. I am 50 yrs. old When I was 18, 4 cylinder cars had 100 horse. V8s maybe had 300 horse. Now the focus rs has 350 out of a 4 banger. You all noticed the v6 is gone from mustangs. I will bet you that it will be back with twin turbo's in the mustang gt in years to come. If you want a v8 , you will have to buy the Shelby, boss, mach 1 type cars. Mark my words this will be the future for your children. V6 twin turbo , 500 horse in a lighter mustang . Not bad
