He is much less of a risk taker (and less funny) now that he found his profitable/popular niche on YouTube. I still enjoy watching him, but open to expanding my watch list. What car related stuff do you recommend?I quit watching him as his obsessions over small things like cup holders or turn signals or other mundane things In cars borders on OCD. His best work was the warranty by Carmax with the POS Land Rover.
All the positives reviews were one of the main reasons I bought my 350R. Doug’s, Matt Farrah said it was more fun than the viper acr, savage geese said it was nearly as fun as a 458, etc. I didn’t find anyone saying it was junk or overrated.i like his review of the gt350r. the facial expressions are gold and say all you need to know about how much he loves the shelby.
I don’t always love Doug but he’s spot on here. I looked into the Supra last year. They would not let me drive it but a dealer 2 miles from my house had a launch edition in the showroom. They knew I was a serious buyer but all they would let me do is sit in it. Fair enough. They wanted like $60K for it with ADM and I just didn’t think the car was worth even $50K. When I realized I could get a barely used GT350 for $50K or less it just made sense. Or a barely used C7 GS for less than a Supra. I really wanted a manual still. At 13:20 in his review of the updated 2021 Supra...
"I'd still rather have a GT350, even a year or two used."
Me too, Doug. Me too.
yeah BMW did a pretty bad job with itRegarding the Supra: I still can't get over how ugly the car is, regardless of how fun it is to drive. Plus, outward visibility is terrible, and I'm 6' tall, not some giant.
I actually think it looks good, wouldn't give up my GT350 for one but it is nice. The hp bump will make it a true low 12 sec car stock, quick.Regarding the Supra: I still can't get over how ugly the car is, regardless of how fun it is to drive. Dealers were stupid. They all wanted ADM near me and it scared a lot of buyers away. The same cars I was looking at in October/November are still for sale and are $5-7K off MSRP. And with the 2021 getting more hp and a better tuned suspension those 2020’s will sit until they are $10K or more off now. They did not sell very well, some idiot YouTube tuners got them and riced then out, but that’s it. They are sitting at the dealerships.
Yeah the stock design really doesnt look good but you have gotta over $20,000 worth of mods to make it look good. And yeah Im 6'2" and I keep hitting my head on that door pillar. Its an okay car but it really looks good with the stuff added to it. The Toyota TRD Supra, or whatever they'll call it will look really good. This is one of the designs a shop did from last year at SEMA. Its good they dumped so much money into it to make it look nice.I actually think it looks good, wouldn't give up my GT350 for one but it is nice.
