There was nothing really bad here......at all.
89 mph. No need for that. Suppose there was a $camera vehicle that snapped his pic? Or lost control of the vehicle, or, or or.
Here's a pic from last year on a tech taking a car for a unauthorized test drive, at 45mph

No cameras anywhere on the 210 freeway, or anywhere around Fontana AKA 'Fontucky'. If we all said, "Or, or, or" then nobody would ever leave home.

Anyway, 'Hustler' got the clicks he wanted so there we all go!

"Not my 100k car seat" I was like oh $hit when he pulled on the street, Valley blvd in Fontana CA. 5 minutes away from my shop. I've never dealt with the service dept. there only the sales people. I'll stick with my guys at Fritts in Riverside.

I recently brought in my '18 GT Premium A10 PP1 to the dealer for some work (they had to repair a small hole they made in the leather seat after tearing it during a tint install). They drove it hard, supposedly saying they had to drive it to the body shop a few miles away. The avg mpg while in their possession was 5 mpg for the first 5 minutes and then about 14 mpg after that. I average 17 mpg. I was certainly pissed but didn't have a dash cam to prove what they did. It is so irritating because I don't even drive my car that hard. I'm sure they burned off some of the rubber on my tires while they were at it. Jerks.

Everyone is stating that the car is meant to be treated this way needs to be checked. Yes, the car is meant to be abused to a degree. A) By the owner of the car; there's a reason why you can't lease a GT350 from any dealership. B) The video only shows the audio and how it was driven but what you won't ever know if the tech had burnt the clutch during his joyride. I've allowed a select few people to drive the car and they all have burnt the clutch. I'm pretty sure the joyride didn't go without something being slightly worn.

Now thinking back, I hope the OP keeps the video and saves it for when his clutch goes.

I got to be honest with you I dont think the "test" drive was all that egregious. They have to drive the car to test for oil leaks. Speeding I mean we all do that ever day. I don't think he was being overly Reckless.

Guys just a recommendation in case you have to take your car to the dealer, install a dash cam, not going to stop this from happening but you at least you will have evidence it did occur.

Went into my local ford dealer to fix the leaking oil pressure sensor, and they decided have some fun with my car, I'm super upset.. but at same time glad it didn't end worse..

Great video..and thanks..I’ve never had a problem with a dealer service department but of course I’ve never had them on film either..

Good for you that you are calm and mature. I would still have to at least email or talk to service manager.

If you felt strongly enough to post this then there must be a part of you inside that has some resentment for what the techs did..why not go a step further and help others by contacting the service manager ..he or she should know and you might save a few others some grief in the future.

Yes I used to live in Virginia. I got a reckless driving ticket for going 83 miles an hour. It is a stupid ass law that Virginia uses for Revenue generation. Where I live now if you are going 80 miles an hour on the freeway you are about getting run over because everyone else is going faster.

I understand..I got that ticket in 2001 when I moved here 96 mph in a 65mph...cop was nice..his Name was Trooper Speed..lol...he didn’t lock me up but I had to pay $300 fine ..$300 for a lawyer and they suspended my MD license in VA for 3 months..

The limit on the highest now is 70 so I try to stay at 75 or 79...

On the original post though .. 86mph or 87mph...I wouldn’t do it in rental let alone a customers car...too afraid of something going wrong..

Of course in my personal ride..that’s another story.

I go that fast daily. Like others have said, in certain areas going 80 is slow. The speed limit on the freeway by my house is 80 mph.

FYI you can program a key that adds a speed limiter and forces drive mode to stick to normal which means no loud mode on the exhaust and full nanny's on. The only thing it doesn't protect from is free revving or pulling high rpm below 55 MPH.

I use this feature anytime I drop my car off somewhere.
I had not played with “My Key” since buying the car. Went out today to set it up and it’s real easy. Starts on page 49 in the manual. Takes all of five minutes.
