Mustangs sold on Ferenginar use gold pressed latinum spark plugs. It's why they have such a high theft/insurance rate.
Gold pressed latinum? I've got a buddy from Ferenginar and he said those never have to be replaced.

Small engines with turbos and not enough cool oil is always a problem. Look up older Audi A4's. Oil has a hard life if the system is not properly designed. This can lead to excessive wear and premature failure.

The whole reason to pay the high price of iridium plugs is to get 80-100k miles out of them. If you are changing them at 30k, get conventional plugs at half the price and spend the money you saved on hookers and blow.
I am a huge fan of buying quality parts, and not just the guarantee on the box. If an item has life expectancy of X, about 50% through I'm going to check it out and then again and maybe change it out at 75%. I changed my cars oil after 1k and again at 5k and will again at 10k and every 5k after. Is it too often? Of course. Running it up to 7500 RPM at least a few times a week requires me to have piece of mind. If something fails, it's likely not due to old oil.

About the hookers and blow...3 day weekend!! And I'm away from home!!! Whoooooooo!!! <Fake excitement to cover up real...lonely...pain>

A coworker of mine has a 2017 Expedition with 70,xxx miles. At freeway speeds and just barely easing into the throttle, it would have a hesitation or slight popping/bucking. Pulled the plugs and they looked OK, but put new plugs in anyways. His wife then drove it soon after. She came back and thought he did something to make more power.
I have 65,000 on my mustang and I'm having a slight pop i can hear and tbe slight stumble. Going to replace the plugs, but wondering what to put in. Thinking Iridium or stock replacements. Opinions?

I got 11k miles with 99% of those miles on E85. Unless I spray or FI I never plan to pull them myself.

Now I'm thinking.
My 2006 Mercury 4.6 just crossed the 100,000 mile mark. Should I replaced the factory installed spark plugs?

Is there a compelling reason to use platinum vs iridium on these cars? All my Hondas use iridium plugs, and change interval is 105k. Never an issue.

^^^^^ all this BS above is the reason why I dread asking a question at mustang6g.com. Change em, don't change them I really truly don't care.

I had to look up the specs, I figured with these cars they certainly used iridium. But then again, Ford wants to save a buck. I will probably be changing to iridium when the time comes. One thing to note, our manual does suggest changing them at 60k under certain circumstances, so the interval is a bit flexible depending how the engine is used.

This is good to see. I thought I might be crazy changing at 65xxx, but I can here and feel a slight miss at idle and people are telling me I'm crazy. Of course these are the same people who think Justin Bieber is amazing.
